Extremely great value.
You can’t beat these copycat carb. Can’t tell the difference from the stock Harley CV 40 carb and the Harley carb has a plastic hose Nicole whereas this one has a brass one. I used it on my 04 Sportster and it runs great. Had to adjust the idle mixture screw and it is spot on and also put in a #48 pilot jet and runs great. No different than you would had to have done with the higher priced ones.

For what you payed, can't beat it.
I was contemplating 3 stars or 5 stars, but settled with 5. I have a 2006 Harley Sportster 1200 Custom. This carb fit perfectly, no issues with that, the bike runs great and I'd certainly recommend buying the carburetor. That being said, I did need to cannibalize a few parts from the old carb, mainly around the throttle cable area. The plate for idle screw had to be bent so the screw would touch it. Had to swap out the new spring for the old spring and a plunger (?) which would be parts 31 and 33. Now, the diagram shows part 25 which I didn't see on the new carb because part 31 wasn't inserted where it should've been, so could've fallen out some point. Instead of using the old spring and plunger, I could've just used a small washer if available, I settled with swapping in the old parts. She fired up beautifully! You could spend $400 on a new carb from Harley, or wherever. Or you could spend less than $50 bucks on Amazon, spend a little time tweaking things into place, and have a great running bike. I'll save the old carb for parts, likely rebuild it later on. BTW, I didn't need to adjust the air/fuel screw. They've got it cranked 2.5 turns out which had the bike running beautifully. You will need to adjust the idle screw once you get the new carb in place... especially if you need to bend things into alignment. Happy customer here.

Works perfectly like the original carb used to on my 1992 Softail. Unbelievable value!!
I bought this carburetor to replace my original carb on my 1992 Heritage Softail thai I bought new back in 1992. I was reluctant to replace my original Harley Carb with a Chinese knock-off, but I needed to get the bike running fast and I didn't feel like rebuilding my old carb again. I was totally amazed with the end result. After installing this carb, which fit perfectly, the bike started right up and ran as well as it ever has in my 33 years of ownership. While I was skeptical at first, because the slider didn't feel as smooth as the stock one, and past experiences with chinese parts has been lackluster, the bike fired into life and ran like new. What's more amazing to me is the price. An original harley carb is about $800. This one was $43, came with fuel filters, fuel line, cleaners and even two spark plugs. I don't know how they build and sell such a decent product at this crazy price point, but it was cheaper to replace the carb than for me to rebuild the old one. I've only run a single tank of gas through it so far, so i can't tell you about the long term reliability, but the first tank of gas has been flawless. While I was relucted to "taint" this 'American' bike with cheap, foreign parts, I have zero regrets. If this carb stays reliable over time, this will be a total win!

Great carb!
A bit of tweeking and went right in...if your upgrading from stock cv40..this carb is better!!...I went with 48 pilot and 180 main jet and couldn't be happier...

Great replacement for a cv.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is a direct plug and play for my softail, my bike is running great again and it's really worth buying this instead of a rebuild kit for the original cv.

Not usable
I took a chance on a Chinesium knock off if the CV40 carb. Numerous issues were discovered. First, the main jet was so tightly screwed into the emulsion tube that it snapped and would not come out. The tube had no flats to grab on to. Secondly, the slow jets provided are too small diameter to put into the stock carb emulsion tube. Third, the tube has only 2 holes compared to the stock which has 12. Lastly, the needle was blunt.

Was a bit sceptical about this carb being up to standard for such a low price. However, the carb arrived early by nearly a week. Fitted this morning and was pleased to find the range of jets included. Fitted the correct ones for my 80" 1340cc Evolution engine. Then swapped the cold start cable etc over. Super easy! The carb looks very well made and all the threads/fasteners were identical to the original HD carb. It runs superbly, idles well and crisp acceleration. Idle mixture screw set at 2.5 turns out from fully in. Look forward to spring 2025 to test properly and of course check plugs for mixture etc. Very impressive!

La verdad si puede que haya estado dudoso de si funcionaría bien pero fue perfecto, la moto encendió en frío y sin usar el ahogador. Viene con las piezas del ahogador en el carburador pero en mi caso quedan un poco chicas entonces tuve que cambiarlas por las del original, el codo de la gasolina viene de cobre lo cual es bueno aunque en mi caso lo necesite ajustar ya que venía mal posicionado. No es de una calidad idéntica al original ni pesa lo mismo que el original pero sigue siendo de muy buena calidad por el precio. No duden en comprarlo, puede que tengan que cambiarle algunas piezas del antiguo carburador pero sin embargo yo creo que no hay necesidad de abrirlo si no necesitas cambiar las espreas pero recomiendo mucho la compra si no quieren gastar mucho dinero en uno original✨
