So straight off the bat, the downside to this product is their size. I suppose if i had stopped and thought about it, i would have realised that you cant make something out of glass they way you can out of pewter, it would just be too fragile and shatter and for this reason, these flasks are quite bulky - they have to be. I'd reckon about 50% bigger in all dimensions than an equivalent metal/pewter hip flask. That said, they are nicely made and feel good in the hand. Also, if you ever fancy the sort of tipple that wouldn't be suited to a traditional pewter hip flask (wine/baileys/port/shots etc) then this would work really well.

I bought these as a long term storage for whisky that I could just grab and go and because there were good reviews. Unfortunately the flask outweigh the contents. The larger flask would be impossible to pocket carry and the smaller would drag down anything but a very sturdy coat, so not suitable for most situations. OK if you wanted to add to a suitcase, but then just use a 35cc bottle that come free with booze inside them (which essentially these are without the liquor). I'll use these on occasion when I have a half bottle left and want to save space. But I wont be carrying them.

This is by far and away the best hip flask I have ever had. Very well made, the leather is of high quality, made from glass you can easily see how much is left in the flask. The packaging is excellent and comes with another lid and a funnel. Whilst not the cheapest in the market by far, it is worth every dollar spent on it.
