The chunky wooden handle is the main advantage because it is much easier for small hands to hold than a standard thin paintbrush, particularly when they are still developing their grip and coordination. The brush itself feels nicely made and is a good size for early mark-making rather than detailed painting.It works well with children’s paints, but I also like that it could be used for water painting outside, painting on cardboard or other simple messy-play activities, so it isn’t limited to one particular type of craft.The main downside is the price. It is considerably more expensive than an ordinary children’s paintbrush, and ultimately it is still a relatively simple product and you only recieve 3, which might get used up pretty quickly!
