It helped my chronically dry, flaky dog like nothing else. Paired with a tea tree oil shampoo, this has kept his "scales" away for the first time in NINE YEARS. And it can be used between washes to keep his coat looking beautiful and clear, which I love. (Not to mention keeping the doggy stank away.) This was exactly what I was looking for! Even the most fond-of-bathing dog of my three is normally not patient enough after the first rinse for me to dream that I would be successful using a wash-out conditioner afterward. But when I realized that leave-in conditioner has been a staple of mine for nearly two decades, I knew that would be just the ticket to keep my doxies running around looking beautiful. This conditioner has a very pleasant smell that is clean, refreshing, and non-fruity/perfumed, which was something I wanted. Dogs with sensitive noses don't need to be walking around in a cloud of berries or flowers all day, after all. And while the scent is strong enough to neutralize the beginnings of doggy-odor (I've had a lot of success against wet dog smell) it is not so strong that it is noticeable for very long or bothersome to the dog. It is not greasy and does not contain nasty ingredients that are commonly found in human hair products that build up like some of the other dog conditioners I looked at. The pump makes it easy to use -even on a squirmy pup- and I've found it's hard to use too much. It only takes a few minutes to really sink in and leave your pet's coat looking healthy and refreshed. It is especially effective on thick coats and dry skin if you work it through with your hands, and when you do your dog just thinks they're getting petted! I also spray it on my hands so I can rub it on my dry doggy's belly. It moisturizes the skin faster and distracts him from trying to lick at it. When I run out, I will happily order more. And before that, I will recommend this to anyone looking for a little more than their favourite shampoo can do for their dog.

Great product, worked exactly as described to soothe the pup’s dry skin. Note that if your dog’s itching is being caused by allergies, this may not alleviate that alone. In the listing, this product is described as having some sort of herbal component, but this is NOT on the ingredients list. The bottle I have lists Aloe Vera, Panthenol, Allantoin, Elastin, and Collagen. All of these are amazing skin soothing and healing ingredients that you will find in human skincare as well. There is no additional fragrance, herbs, or oils that could irritate. The scent is very much Aloe Vera, which is a bit “herbal” or “grassy” smelling, but it dissipates very fast. All in all, highly recommend. This has been the most effective spray for itching and dry skin I have tried.

Okay, here we go! Product quality is on point! Between baths and conditioning. Smell is not a big deal; not a medical smell. Does dry quickly so you must work fast, for large dogs; does help skin irritation, soft to the touch. Downside: Value for the money not there. Maybe a little bigger and a better bottle design specifically sprayer, as it beads up and drips out losing liquid, when applying. This is the reason for 4 star otherwise great product. Friend, Rolo

I love this product and have reordered it multiple times. It smells wonderful, gives a sheer light sheen and detangles. It helps mildly with itching but it’s moisturizing. It works nicely on combing out my Aussie’s skirt. PLEASE BRING IT BACK. It’s nice to have in hand and I use it twice daily sometimes.

This Vet’s Best Moisture Mist Conditioner may be a good product, but today on my first use, I got more product running down on my hand/arm and the bottle than I could get on my dog! It was so messy, due to a faulty spray apparatus (pump). It’s too expensive to continue to use as is! I will attempt to find another pump that fits! It looked fine upon unwrapping the shipping packaging! The other pump product shipped with the Vet’s Best Moisture Mist Conditioner! It leaks horribly!

Our female GSD suffers from frequent dry skin due to a medication side effect, and this has been a life saver for her. Several of the remedies we tried - including prescription ones - either didn't work, caused her pain (stinging from the product on her irritated skin), or seemed to make the problem worse. This spray is one of the very few we tried that she didn't try to immediately rub off, run away from when we pull out the bottle, or lick off. Her poor, itchy skin is soothed and gets a chance to heal. There's also no strong medicinal smell to this to bother her nose. This spray moisturizer isn't greasy and dries quickly after application. We and her vet are very pleased with the spray and the relief it's given our furry girl.

My husky was dealing with some skin issues so we had to shave some areas for the vet to get a better look. Her coat came up very stringy and rough. I found this product, hoping it would bring her coat back to normal and IT DID! Absolutely love this stuff. It’s really thick so a little really does go a long way, even with thick haired dogs. This didn’t irritate her skin & it smells great, too!

This has worked well for three long-haired dogs, all with somewhat different hair types -- from curly and thin, to curly and very thick, to thick and straight. I use it mainly for detangling -- a squirt in the tangle and I can work it out without hurting my dog, especially behind and under the ears and where the tail attaches to the body. I also use it for one of my dogs who tends to be itchy from pollen. It is a godsend for those static electricity times. Controls that very well and protects from matting. The scent will be a pro for some of us -- a light herbal smell that is tolerable; for others a con just because there is a scent.

Ho acquistato questo prodotto perche' la mia cagnolina aveva un po' di forforina sul dorso e volevo vedere se era una questione di pelle secca in questo periodo. Dei balsami per cani, questo era l'unico che diceva "idratante". Ho aspettato una settimana a recensire il prodotto per vedere i risultati dopo un paio di applicazioni. Ad oggi posso dirmi molto soddisfatta, perche' questo balsamo ha effettivamente risolto il problema! io lo applico cosi': con una mano sollevo un po' il pelo e con l'altra vaporizzo sul manto. poi coi polpastrelli massaggio un pochino sulla pelle. Poi passo il cardatore per sollevare il pelo. Mi piace molto anche come la cagnolina (un chihui a pelo lungo) resta "vaporosa" dopo l'applicazione, che tra l'altro non la disturba per niente :-) il profumo e' molto leggero e neutro e svanisce dopo un giorno.

I’m going to make this as short as possible: Our dogo (Ridgeback/German shepherd mix) loves to go in mud meaning we had to bath her after most dog park sessions. She also has a sensitive/itchy skin in general so the water/dirt and mud do not help her condition. Bought this on a whim, as a last effort for home treatment and it has been our favourite dog product ever since; • It smells wonderful but not overpowering • It leaves her coat so so so sleak and soft (as if we have moisturized her for hrs) • She shines. Literally shines under the sun. • Dogo loves the feeling so much that she sticks around after shower until I spray her all over with this. Her dry patches are gone. She gets to many compliments on her coat. • It has saved us a visit to the vet. Humans are happy. I hope this was helpful to all the furbaby lovers out there!

Following the first infestation of fleas to ever attack my 2 dogs, Mikey was left with an awful skin irritation. He would scratch and pull out his hair the minute my back was turned! This entire issue left his (once magnificent) coat, dull and staring. No amount of grooming would return the natural lustre and volume of his long, silky hair. After just one application of this product, the transformation was clearly evident. It took only 10 mins to untangle the knots, run the comb easily through his coat, before restoring both his back middle-parting and the glossy sheen so typical of this fine boy! He has neither tried to scratch or bite his skin since. What absolute value for money! I cannot recommend Vet's Best more highly!!!

This is a great product for dogs with dry itchy skin. I use it once a day on my pooch!
