Brought my old clock back to life!
I’m really pleased with this LUSEE clock mechanism kit it saved two of our wall clocks that had stopped working ages ago. The set comes with two movements and several different styles of hands, which is really handy for finding the perfect fit and look. I used one for an old kitchen clock and another for a decorative one in the hallway, and both are ticking away silently now. The silent quartz movement is a big plus no annoying ticking sound, which makes it great for bedrooms or quiet spaces. The shaft length worked well for medium-thickness clock faces, and installation was simple enough with just a screwdriver and a bit of patience. For the price, it’s fantastic value, and I still have a few spare hands left over for future repairs. A proper little fix-it kit to have around the house.

As advertised, good time keeper.
Good value for money but does have an annoying intermittent hum.

Excellent battery clock spares, very satisfying for repairs
Over time battery clock mechanisms can become unreliable or stop working altogether. In my case this was after 10 years by which time a replacement of the same design was not possible. Rather than throwing the clock away and buying another it was very gratifying to be able to repair the clock rather than getting a replacement. It was also a much cheaper option. Many modern wall clocks use standard sizes of timer unit, and it is really a question of finding the right one to fit an existing clock. This kit comes with a decent selection of hands which fit the timer unit and which can be trimmed to size to some degree if required. The stem/shaft which supports the hands can be of different lengths depending upon the size of clock so if replacing an existing unit it is important to choose the right kit in terms of shaft length. The diagrams on the product details have sizing details for assisting with this. If replacing an existing unit make sure to measure the length of the pillar supporting the hands from the back of the plastic gearbox to the tip of the pillar. For this kit the product details show dimensions and this distance was 13mm. If this pillar/stem is longer than the original unit there is a possibility the replacement will not fit under the glass of the clock case. Although it may be possible to use washers to set the gear casing back from the clock face it is better to get the replacement size correct to begin with. Likewise, any existing hands will need to fit on the spindles of the new timer unit. The kit comes supplied with a variety of different sizes and shapes of hands. The hands are very delicate and are neatly wrapped in protective plastic sleeves. Hands painted black have a film of plastic to protect the surface. This should be peeled off before fitting the hands. To trim any hands that are too long use a knife or other sharp edge to push into the surface of the soft metal hand at right angles to the length. The scoring will then easily snap off with a little pressure applied and should leave a clean edge. I was very pleased with this kit – it took me approximately half an hour to repair a clock which had become unreliable (the hands kept slipping backwards losing time). It is actually a very quick job if you know what you are doing but I was trying to be careful. For £6.59 to repair a clock that was no longer available to buy (and also cost much more) this was a very satisfying repair. The fact the kit has two timer units is a bonus. Very good value.

Nice Replacement wall clock mechanism
Good value at £6.99 for 2 mechanism and 5 sets of hands. Very easy to fit, comes with instructions if you need them. Just take care on seating the arms properly and check they don't touch and that's it. I like the sweeping second hand but you don't need to install it. Silent operation so suitable for bedroom. Timed it for 9 minutes and admittedly I was a bit slow to stop at the end so 9.00.67 is OK,I'll report back if it loses/gain over a longer period. Happy with the product. Might use the 2nd mechanism to make a clock with a picture in a frame.

Ideal for repair or for craft projects
This is a very good set. It was helpful to include different styles and sizes of hands so I was able to select a set that worked perfectly on my project. PLease note that the hands will fit quite tightly on the spindle, so it is necessary to apply firm but careful pressure - but they do fit. I can't hear the mechanism at all.

Timeless
Absoulutley perfect for my newish clock or indeed for a replacement part for an older modle . The variety of hands to use gives you more choice colure and length. with the spare clock and hands will make a clock out of some old palets for the garage or garden wall.
