Bought a used 8' 6" solid construction table with 2 leafs. The table pins were plastic and badly damaged. I drilled out the old pins (marked the drill bit at the correct depth with a bit of painters tape), making the holes large enough for the replacements, and used a jig to be sure and tap them in to just the right depth. Worked great! Gave the extras to someone else to use with high recommendations.

These pins are very short on the end that gets glued into the table or mating item. I didn't look at that before I bought them.

Tried fancy steel pins first for replacing some plastic ones on an older table, these came and worked much better.
