Gikfun 10mm LED Emitting Diodes Light Lamp Diffused F10 Round Led for Arduino...

We used some of these for a toy traffic light project. Note that the dropping voltage is about 2 volts for the yellow and red and 2.9 volts for green. They make sufficient light at about 15 mA, and top out above 20 mA. The yellow seems to make less light than red, green, and blue, but that was okay for our project. These are not ultra bright, but are sufficient for indicators. Sizes seem consistent, but the flanges aren't very large, so you need to get your holes properly drilled at exactly 10mm diameter.

I’m love making small electronic projects. This small product worked very well in a few of my experimental projects.

They're not just for Arduinos... these are ordinary LED's. I used these to build a tally light system for a professional video camera. The LED's are bright, large and easy to see, with good diffusion across the surface. Use Ohm's Law to figure out the resistor value to use with a given voltage. I had some extras... I'll have to figure out something cool to do with them.

I know about the % difference between, LEDs it is usually a change of maybe .10 give or take a little...BUT not ~.50mm and I know this because i deal with 10mm all the time, the issue is that .10 is a standard, .50 is NOT. Pair this with grossly over sized 10mm beveled holders, that are 10.33 you now are sitting at .80 Almost 1mm around the whole thing so .50mm on each side, of the Holder with this LED, and it doesnt even hold at all.... I never seen this type of grossly undersized LEDs in my life, these in other words are unuseable for the project I am working on. They need to get QC involved really, .50mm or .25 each side is a major thing when using them in a holder.Other than the groosly undersized of the LED, they work, they are bright...so I give them that...just cannot use them or even return them now. Waste of money.

I tested all 20 of these with 100Ω resistors and they all lit up just fine. They are pretty decently bright. They worked great in my project (see video).I have two minor complaints, which is why I chose 4 stars instead of 5. First, the yellow ones aren't really yellow. They are really more of an orange (see photo). Second, I think these are just a tiny bit smaller than 10mm, which means they were a bit loose in the holes I had cut in my project box.

Reasonably bright but the component legs are thin and few broke off close to the LED body. The actual bend was made 5mm further down the leg.
