CRAFTSMAN Nut Driver, Magnetic, 1/4 Inch (CMHT65079)

I recently purchased this nut driver and have used a couple times. I am exceptionally pleased with this purchase. Whoever designed this must have taken input from the folks that actually use a nut driver. The handle fits comfortably in the hand, the handle is comfortable to hold with good gripping action. The magnet is strong and the bits fits securely in place. I honestly can't find one thing about this nut driver I don't like. 5 stars..... well deserved.

Do you need a simple 1/4 inch bit driving screwdriver? I did. For a few car emergency kits. I wanted something simple, that could accept interchangeable heads, and that was solid, mostly for emergency use. Simple, decent and cheap. This fit the bill. For about $6.00, it has a decent sized handle, made of mostly dense black rubber and hard red plastic. It has a metal shaft that accepts 1/4 inch bits. It has a simple magnetic tip that holds the bits in place. That's it. It feels solid, the magnet is strong, and it has a decent sized, old school, screw driver like feel. It is round and rolly, so it may roll around on a bench, it that annoys you. Not too heavy. Construction feels decent. Overall, for a cheap price, it does a good job at doing what more expensive bit driving handles do. It was exactly what I needed at the time.... Durable, simple, solid, and accepts interchangeable tips/bit.

When you don't need to go crazy with a bit holder, but want quality, this is the one. Made in Taiwan so better quality than China made. Holds the bit perfectly and with the ergonomic grip, using this driver is perfect for DYI or even professional applications without breaking the bank. This is my second driver, I keep one at work and this one in my vehicle (for those "just in case" uses).

This bit driver is made by craftsman and has the lifetime warranty. It's really well balanced and has that solid heavy feel. Fits perfectly in my XX size hands. Best part about it is the magnet inside the shaft is extremely strong, almost 2 strong so there's never gonna be any worry about loose bits falling out that's for sure. Also it's extremely reasonably priced. Over all Im very satisfied

Solid basic bit driver.

No issues

I bought two of these. I used one on the road on my rig and one at home. It’s great to be able to just swap the bits for different jobs. The magnets hold well and the fat, grippy handle makes it easier to twist. Durable for over the road use as well as standard homeowner chores.

I got a Wiha bit set that only comes with a ratchet. I bought this for when a ratchet and extension will not work. The 1/4 bits fits well. The magnet only holds the bit to the tool so it will not fall out. It will not extend the magnetic field to the bit so that the tip of the bit is magnetized. I didn't expect it to, so not a big deal for me. The price was right. Feels good in my hand. The Wiha tool and this tool will be stored in the car permanently. I found out I had a similar tool for Craftsmen that will work too, so that will live in the car rather than this one which is nicer.

I bought and return one similare at Canadian tire, but without magnet, how am I supposed to use it if the bit does not hold. This one is just PERFECT, works great, has a magnet, at an unbeatable price. EXCELLENT!

Excellent handle, grippy and strong.

The bit holder has a very tight tolerance and holds the bits with virtually no play, but the handle design is very unergonomic, definitely not suitable for people with smaller hands.

Feels like a quality tool. I can't imagine anything going wrong with it. Very happy with the purchase.
