These work great. Although, I haven't seen one fly on here, we do get a lot of gnats and I have to change it weekly. It also catches anything else that flies around, but still no flies.

I purchased the Plug-In Fly Trap for a small bathroom where I have been battling drain flies for 5+ years! I am using it in conjunction with the BIO-CLEAN product.** READ BELOW.... When I tell you I have used 5+ OTC products PLUS several do it yourself remedies and concoctions for drain flies, none of which worked well, not exaggerating. I even clean out the tub trap and use a small snake-like tool to remove anything in the drain thinking that could be a breeder issue. Initially I treated all drains for the flies, even the washer drain, until I figured out the exact problem area. No water source area was not treated. I even bought a tiny little scrub brush on a snake that goes down into the drain lines. Still had drain flies. Finally.... using duct tape, taped down over the drains, that is how I finally figured out where the problem area was, where they were flying out of getting stuck on the tape. Now that I knew where.....over the past 5+ years I have poured huge pots of boiling water down the tub/shower drain, repeating daily for a few days. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have used vinegar mixed with baking soda, repeating daily for days. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have poured a cup of bleach (the thick no-splash gel kind) at a time down the drains, waiting a few hours then rinsing with hot water. Did this for several days in a row. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have used powerful drain cleaners/chemicals for clogged drains, even though my drain works at 100%. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have spent A LOT OF MONEY purchasing various liquid pre-mixed drain cleaners ADVERTISED FOR DRAIN FLIES here on Amazon. Sometimes treating 2 weeks at a time, daily, sometimes twice daily. Helped, but still seeing multiples daily. FINALLY I HEARD ABOUT THIS PRODUCT - BIO CLEAN. RUN and get yourself some, quickly, if you have drain flies! THIS is the only drain fly product that really works, however not 100%. Use it overnight for about 2 weeks straight. Do not use water for about 8 hrs in that drain. After you get rid of them, or most, use 1x a week as maintenance. Most days I see a fly when I turn the water on, flying out of the drain, or on the shower wall or even in the toilet. Sometimes in other areas of the condo, like at my computer screen. Not 1-2 dozen a day anymore, just 1 or 2 a day most days, and not the larger ones, usually the smaller gnat-like flies. I am convinced I will never be totally rid of them, even with all I am doing, and using BIO-CLEAN weekly. There is something way down in that drain pipe that is the culprit. NOW.... since I plugged this light in the bathroom a week ago, it is catching most of those stragglers (see photo). If you have drain flies you must clean out the enzymes in all your drains with a enzyme cleaning product, do it time to time (weekly if needed, or monthly as a preventative) as routine maintenance, especially the problem drains. Enzymes is what drain flies feed on. *I gave the Plug-In Fly Trap 2 stars for "value for money".... $17.97 is very costly for this product and refills are a bit expensive. Now that I know there are plug-in products with a UV LED light fro this problem, I will shop around.

I know how helpful pictures are for believability, so I’ll attach one! Don’t judge me, I had no idea what these were for the first couples of weeks. So yes they overran my house for a bit. But that is no longer! We are now free from the clutches of these nasty little 💩’s. I recently moved to Florida, and never in my life had I experienced so many (what I thought were gnats - I’m still unsure what the hell they actually are 😂). For the life of me I couldn’t figure out where the swarms of these pesky little things were coming from. I am originally from up north, where the only things that resemble them that we get are fruit flies. I couldn’t figure out why they were everywhere when none of my fruit was rotten or even remotely bad. Until I did some googling and found out these little demons are called Drain Flies. They live and breed in your drain, lay eggs and come out in SWARMS. I tried every remedy to kill them off. I cleaned my drains, I poured all kinds of chemicals down there. I googled every which way to kill their eggs, catch them. Tried the whole apple cider vinegar, water and soap trick. Where the apple cider vinegar is supposed to attract them, and the surface tension of the soap is supposed to get them stuck and they sink into the water below….noooope! Nothing worked. I’d still see them flying all over the place in my peripheral vision, and to top it off I now had a nasty little vinegar cup hidden in my corner smelling like dooky. I, like every other rational person, ran to Amazon for a solution. And I found LOTS of them. My first go to was going to be that light and fan thing, where the light attracts them and the fan supposedly sucks them in to their demise. I really didn’t care which one I purchased, as long as it worked. I saw the reviews and pictures of this one and figured I’d give it a go, and if this one didn’t work, I’d try the other one I mentioned. Day 1, the first few hours, it caught absolutely nothing. And I thought “greaaat. This thing isn’t going to catch anything and I’m gong to have to deal with this pests for another few days while I wait on another order” Day 2. I woke up, not expecting to find anything, and lo and behold, there were 10-15 flies on it. My prayers had been answered! Day 3. Not going to lie, I forgot I had it plugged in Day 4. I checked again, and this is what I found. The picture attached. Absolutely gross 🤢. Don’t ask, I have no idea how all these nasty little creatures lived in my sink without my knowledge. I must just be that blissfully unaware. I thought I only had a few…clearly I was wrong I’m on like Day 10 now. I waited awhile because I wanted to make sure it continued to work before posting this review. I haven’t seen another fly / gnat besides in the trap, since Day 4, nearly a week ago. Not one. However, the trap is still lit up, and still as sticky as it was on day 1. There is a faint blue glow, it’s a pretty pleasant. It’s just like a night light. It makes 0 noise whatsoever. It’s SO easy to remove and replace the sticky pad. You pull the stick piece up out of the part that attaches into the wall, and slide a new one in. So simple, yet so effective. If you’ve had these nasty little critters flying around your home for far too long now, try it. You won’t regret it. If it doesn’t work in the first spot you put it, move it around. These things supposedly come out of the drains, yet for some reason it catches far more in my bedroom outside the bathroom. So find what works for you. Also, it turns sideways if need be. So if you have a sideways plug, you can still plug it in and swivel it so it’s face up! I hope this review helps some of you choose this, and rid your life of these nasty little buggers!!

I put one of these in my living room, and one in my office. I have house plants which attract a lot of flying insects. I also live on a huge green space which brings in a lot of creepy crawlies. After 30 days the sticky cards were completely full of fruit flies, flies, and other creepy crawlies. I bought these on sale... Which made it even better. After installing these I have seen zero flying insects. Before I would see random fruit flies here and there. Couldn't recommend more!

Love this! Fruit flies seem to hatch on grapes and bananas that we keep on countertop- even after washing. The sticky pad worked amazingly well. By the next morning many were captured. By second morning a dastardly fruit fly was onboard. Two tiny moths as well. After a week it was filled up and pad was changed. Life in the new country woods home is not so buggy now!

EDIT: after a month of keeping it plugged in, I decided to check it out. I was shocked when at least 20 flies were dead on the back. So, I wanted to revise my initial review. I still don’t recommend this as a quick, immediate solution. But to have plugged in over the course of a month or longer term it clearly works. This product is not worth it at all. I live in Texas and it’s summertime and we had a bit of a fruit fly problem so I ordered this based on reviews. I live in a small space, so an item like this should work pretty efficiently. I followed the instructions and after 48 hrs it only caught 1 fly. A friend recommended leaving a cup of red wine vinegar with a little dish soap in it and less than 12 hrs later the solution caught over 10 flies. I obviously can’t return the product since it is “used” but I can hopefully save someone else money. Pictures for proof.

Does the trick like the pricey ones do! Make sure to buy extra replacement stick pads. Have it next to our back slider which is always open. Grabs all the little nats, moths, mosquitoes (and eaters) that get in. Regular flies don’t seem to be attracted to it though.

Not the fastest device, but it definitely gets the job done—as long as you remember to plug it in. It’s far better than having some liquid mixture sitting out on the countertop. You may still have that one stubborn gnat show up when you sit down to eat, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by its overnight catches. I keep ours plugged in in the kitchen. Simple to set up and easy to use.

Works really well In 1 week I caught a lot of bugs. Seems easier than putting sticky traps in all of my plants. I think it would work best in an area where it is dark at night

I was disappointed at first as for the first day I saw only two fruit bugs caught. But the day after I saw many bugs stock on the pad.
