This flashlight is very bright and well built. It has multiple lighting modes, is easy to recharge, and feels durable in the hand. The beam reaches a long distance, making it perfect for camping, emergencies, outdoor activities, or everyday use. The carrying case and accessories are a nice bonus. I copied the pertinent data above directly from the product description to show that it has both battery-powered capability plus it can be recharged and run off the rechargeable battery. So you’ll have to try hard to ever find yourself without power with this flashlight. Also, it’s extremely bright! It’ll light up my entire backyard on the first setting. But there are also 3 less bright settings, for a total of 4 brightness settings. Plus it has 2 flashing beacons for emergency situations. It feels hefty in my hand. But not as heavy and cumbersome as some of those huge flashlights that used to be so popular. It comes with a perfect little case that holds the flashlight as well as the battery holder piece (for 3 AAA batteries (included in the purchase). It also has a holder to hook it onto your belt. The only downside is that if you want to be totally prepared and always have power, you need to carry the battery cell with you because the flashlight can’t hold BOTH the rechargeable battery AND the AAA battery cell at the same time. They must be switched out of the handle (which unscrews) in order to change between the two power sources (the rechargeable battery and the regular AAA batteries). But the entire kit is on sale right now and it’s basically a steal! I bought some for Xmas presents because this price can’t be beat.

This is a great flashlight for the money ! It's a couple bucks more than some others , and I hope the extra couple bucks will be well worth it ! It's made of apparent high quality aluminum and very well designed and constructed . The led/emitter is a XHP70.2. I picked this model because it has a replaceable 26650 battery. It can be used with an 18650 battery and adapter tube , but that IS NOT included. I like the 4 , blue led power indicator lights. The zoom feature is nice , and for you officianatos out there , it shows a square led pattern at maximum zoom . My lanyard comes off right away, but if you like them , it has a very nice , adjustable lanyard. It comes with the flashlight, rechargeable 26650 battery, 3 AAA batteries , battery holder, battery adapter tube , USB a to USB c charging cable , pretty nice holster with a belt loop that unsnaps and has Velcro around the snap , an instruction pamphlet and carrying case/kit. I'm impressed ! It has the typical 5 function pushbutton. Yes , you have to cycle through all of them to turn it off. The USB input and output ports look to be of high quality, and the rubber cover over the ports seems molded well , and does it's job protecting the ports. It will also swivel to get out of the way while charging. I tried it out of the box , and the brightness and beam were great. The 4 battery indicator lights showed a full charge, but after playing with it for a couple minutes, the battery indicator was down to 2 of 4 LEDs lit. I attribute that to needing an initial charge and the false reading I probably got from the frozen package. Yes, it's cold here.

Update: I was a little silly, the flashlight DOES charge when I use the included USB-A to USB-C adapter plugged into my computer USB port. It refuses to charge using my regular USB-C charger that works for all my other devices e.g. my phone, headphones, other flashlight, and headlamps. --- Had it for a couple weeks. Very bright, worked great. Used it until battery reached one bar. It has been plugged in for eight hours and charge has not gone up. Comes with a AAA battery adapter so it's not the end of the world, but the whole reason I bought this flashlight was for the rechargeability. Not sure if the battery itself is bad or the charging circuit. Flashlight was stored indoors and not exposed to extreme temperatures. It's the same charger I use for my phone and headlamps so I know it's not a bad charger. Somewhat disappointed but for like $20 I'm not sure what I expected.

We found this flashlight at a park. When we first used it, it was great. So great that we have bought 4 more 1 for each family member. Great for cars, and black outs. The beam is bright and it goes a long way. Easy to charge, we haven't ran out of battery because there is an indicator for it. When we see it's low we just plug it in. Very convenient to have.

What I like: Good size, not too big. Super Bright, easily adjustable with on hand....can use your thumb to zoom it in and out while holding it easily. USB-C Charge Port! Can't stress enough how great it is to have a USB-C port. The cable it comes with is NOT a fast charging cable. I tried to charge my Samsung phone with the cable included using a fast charging block & my phone told me it was slow charging so use a different cable to charge it and it charges waaaay faster. Battery life is great so far. Comes with a 5,000 mAh, 26650 rechargable Li-Ion battery. I've had it on high for 3+ hours on high and still had 1/2 battery left and it hasn't dimmed on me as the battery charge gets lower which is great. I use this flashlight for long (25-50 Mile) electric skateboard rides. I go out 3-5 nights a week in the middle of the night for at least 2.5-5 hours. I bought this flashlight to hold in my free hand to augment the 2x2000 lumen headlights on my board. it's WAAAAY brighter than the 4000 lumens of headlights I have....I don't know if it's actually 20,000 lumens but it is for sure brighter than 4000 lumens and when focused illuminates stuff at least a football field length out in front of me. I have had a few flashlights of this type because I keep misplacing them. I recently bought a larger high powered flashlight that is great but it's too big to lug on my long rides. I've used this light on 10 rides and kept it on high for over 3 hours and the thing keeps blazing. I always bring an extra charged-up 26650 Li-Ion with me in and so far have not had to change to the extra battery. I got it on sale for like $25.99 (said regular price was $40) and for that price it's a great light. Love the lanyard it comes with so I can clip it to my backpack or belt too. You can also use 3xAAA batteries to power it as well. I'm happy with this flashlight. Will update if it goes bad but have heard this company's cust. service is pretty good..hopefully I won't have to find out.

I purchased 4 variations of flashlights on Amazon to test out the 'brightest' and quality of rechargeable LEDs. I was able to test each by brightness, ambient lighting (spread), heat dissipation, and lighting distance. It wasn't even close. Brightness was easily 20% brighter than the Banral's (which came in a distant 2nd) and the Baibian was slightly less than the Banral's. The ambient light created the Goreit was exceptional as well. The peripheral light in the widest focus point (at 30 feet, the widest point of light was about 35-40 feet and still had about 60% of the brightness from the center focal point.) Neither of the other two could light at that level. They lost a considerable amount of light from that distance - more in the 20% range. I tested each light for 25 minutes at full brightness. The Goreit got warm, but not 'burning' hot in that amount of time. I felt the heat dissipation did a nice job. The Baibian however, got incredibly hot and did indeed slightly burned my fingers when I placed them closer to the lens. The Banral's got warm as well, about the same as the Goreit. Finally, lighting distance. There are a ton of pictures that show all 3 of these flashlights lighting up (brightly I might add) 150-200 feet and approximately 50-60 feet wide. All 3 could be opened (aperture-wise) to those dimensions, however, only the Goreit came close to doing what the promotional images show. It's greatest distance is more in the 100 feet range and about 30-40 feet wide. In the center of the beam, the Goreit flashlight is amazing. As mentioned above, the out parts of the bean degrade to about 65% of the light. But if you are searching in the dark, this flashlight will make you feel like it's daylight nearby.

The flashlight is a good value for the price. Very solidly made, and insanely bright - way more so than some [larger] Eveready aluminum flashlights I bought for similar money. I always appreciate when the manufacturer uses a replaceable battery for their rechargeable feature (which this has), so that when the battery eventually dies you can replace just it without dumping the entire flashlight. I knocked one star off for two reasons: 1.) I have owned numerous "tactical" flashlights like this, and every single one has the ability to focus the beam to narrow or wide by twisting the head. The instructions made no mention how, and I was turning and twisting to no avail, thinking maybe mine was defective. Until, just trying everything, I found you grab the head and slide it out (or in) to adjust the focus! It works fine, but being different from most every other one I have tried I wish it mentioned this somewhere. 2.) The second reason was that once I figured out how to focus it, the beam has a curious "windowed" effect in the spotlight mode. The picture the manufacturer provides is quite accurate in this regard. It's not a deal breaker, but it is annoying and distracting to see. Outside of clarity on how to focus, and the light pattern when focused, it's an excellent flashlight, and worth the price (with the 20% off coupon).
