If your cat is overweight, read this…
After some research, I bought this for my overweight cat who has gland issues, and I also give it to my long-haired cat to help his digestion. We were giving them both pure pumpkin puree but wanted to transition, because while the puree worked great, it’s high in sugar and isn’t conducive weight loss. The Glandex works GREAT—both of them are having amazing movements now and are doing better than they were on the puree. Our overweight cat, who needed to be wiped every time she went to the bathroom about a month ago, no longer needs to be wiped at all and has not needed to see the vet or have her glands expressed at all. I will say, however, that if you have an overweight cat like mine (who’s around 7kg/15.5lbs), you may have to give them a higher dosage. At the suggested amount, the Glandex wasn’t working as well as the puree, and our cat became constipated. When I upped it from one scoop to about one and a third, she’s doing much better. It’s also extremely important to ensure that your cat is getting enough water with their fibre. Cats are bad at drinking water, and while wet food does have some water, it may not be enough to relieve constipation. I’ve found that adding a splash (roughly a tbsp) to their wet food with the Glandex provides enough water for them to have a good movement. Overall, I wish there was more in the container, but we’re really pleased with the Glandex and will be buying it indefinitely!

Amazing
This product has been a game-changer for my cat. He used to have recurring anal gland issues, but since I started using Glandex, I’ve noticed a huge improvement. Plus, it’s super easy to mix into his food, and he eats it without any fuss. It’s such a relief not having to deal with these problems so often anymore.

Purchased for my cat
The vet recommended I try this product for my cat. We had to build up to a full scoop over a few months so she wouldn’t refuse it band then mix the product into a lick-e-lix cat treat. I cannot say for sure that the product works as my cat still has to visit the vet to have her glands expressed, but I hope this product helps and means it doesn’t happen so frequently. My cat is quite a fussy eater and it can take quite a lot of time for her to eat this when mixed with a treat, however we will continue to give it to her.

Works well!
Works well if your cat has anal gland problems. Add correct amount for weight of cat into his/her breakfast or supper.

Excellent
Our cat had a tapeworm and had a bad tummy afterwards. After treating the tapeworm we started giving him this. He had a much better tummy, and even started putting on some weight (which he needed!)

Cat won't eat it unless served with Tuna
I have previously purchased the pork variety of this product and my cat has eaten it with no problems. I have been able to mix it into any of his foods and he would polish it off with relish. However, having run out of my previous purchase, I found that all that was now available was the tuna variety, which apparently is especially formulated for cats. My cat is quite a fussy eater, but as this was advertised as tasting like tuna, and he loves tuna, I thought we would have no problem. I tried to introduce a small amount of food into his food, not the recommended daily dose. However, even when only giving about a quarter of the scoop in the pot, my cat would not touch it. I tried serving it in a few other flavours of his food and found that he would only eat it if it was in tuna. He now only has this powder on the odd occasion that I give him tuna, which is probably not enough to make a difference to his anal glands problems. I am disappointed that the previous variety is now unavailable and hope that the company consider feedback regarding the change of recipe. I shan't be purchasing this again.

Cats won't eat it
I have 2 cats who generally aren't very fussy eaters but neither of them will touch it. I have tried mixing it with water to make a paste, combining with treats and combining with their meat but no luck. Shame a smaller size isn't available because £27 is quite a lot to waste!

My cat has been struggling with recurring anal gland issues, which, as any cat owner knows, is no fun for anyone! After several trips to the vet for expressed glands, I decided to try a supplement to see if it could help support healthier gland function. I'm so glad I did! This anal gland supplement has made a noticeable difference for my cat. Since starting him on it, he's had far fewer issues. No more scooting, licking, or that awful fishy smell! He seems much more comfortable, and we've been able to avoid those frequent (and expensive) vet visits for gland expressions. The supplement itself is easy to administer. It comes in a powder form and I mix the powder into his dry food. I appreciate that it contains probiotics, fiber as well as digestive enzymes which seem to be contributing to his improved digestive health, which I understand is linked to anal gland health. Of course, every cat is different, and what works for one might not work for another. But if your cat is experiencing anal gland problems, I would definitely recommend talking to your vet about whether this supplement might be a good option. It's been a game-changer for us, and I'm so relieved to see my cat comfortable and happy again. It's definitely saved us both a lot of stress (and money!).

My cat has not had anal abcess since I have been using this for about 6 months. Before then he had them about every 3 months! Vet recommended I have anal glands removed he had abcesses so often. I didn’t want to go that route for many reasons so I read about Glandex and thought I would give it a try. It works for my cat and I will continue to use it. If you have a cat with this problem, try it. It is cheaper than going to the vet every few months and my cat loves the tuna flavor.

Before buying this my cats recently have been booting and leaving a mess I’d have to clean up and one of my cats poop was smelling a little bit foul. I did my research so I bought glandex to try it out and the first day I used it his poop did not smell bad ! They haven’t booted either. And they been more playful and happy. ! I definitely will buy this often moving forward. And switching up their food diet also has improved. I just mix the powder with wet food or dry and a bit of water and they love the taste of it. It has worked for me , it may not work for others but honestly give it a chance to know if this is what the problem is or not take your babies to the vet. All the best for your fur babies

I bought this because one of my cats would hop up on the couch for pets and then the next thing I knew, she would throw her legs over her shoulders and scooch her but on the couch. Sometimes it would leave a stinky substance which upon further research I learned was her secreting her anal glands. Turns out cats need more fiber so that their poop is firm so that it pushes on their glands when they poop and naturally secretes them. So I bought this stuff and have been giving it to both of my cats at feeding every night. Now her poops are hard and firm and really easy to scoop instead of loose and runny. Best of all, no more anal gland scooting! Whew! Also, I give her half the recommended amount and it seems to work fine. They both seem fine with the taste of it. I mix it into their wet food.

This product has been a game changer for our cat. A few years ago, he stopped using the litter box for poop. Would poop anywhere carpeted beside the box. To make matters worse, it was runny and had blood in it. We fully investigated medical concerns with the vet, costing us thousands of dollars, and a potential diagnosis of IBS. Our cat doesn’t tolerate meds - he’ll turn completely feral and hide, so anything the vet tried recommending was essentially useless. He won’t touch a treat or food that I may have a pill hidden inside. One thing I did notice was that he would scoot his butt on the carpet a lot. So I decided to search for something that would at least help with that, and I found this product. I can’t tell you how much of a difference it has made. His poop is no longer diarrhea and it looks perfectly healthy. He’s using the litter box 100% of the time and he is even covering his poo with litter. I am able to sprinkle this on his dry food and he has no problem eating it. He is extremely picky so this is quite a miracle. Initially, I was giving him a probiotic recommended by his vet, but it only worked part of the time and was very expensive. Most pet owners would have given up and given him away or put him down. We have to replace our carpet because of all the messes he made. We were encouraged to have him become an outside cat but he is terrified of the outdoors and we have way too many coyote predators. Basically, this product saved my cat life. Thank you!
