Quality product
I use this product for sharpening scissors and shears. I know it's not designed for that but it's safe and does a great job. This product is made very well and its weight make it idea for the task I have purchased it for.

Rough/Sharp parts and paint, but excellent value.
Rough parts and paint, but excellent value. Received this today and immediately took it out since I need it for a project. It had several rough parts with sharp burs. The jaw plates were especially bad. Sharp burs the entire length of the plate facing the holding area on both jaws. I completely disassembled the vise and used a file and whetstone to clean up all the sharp bits. Would it have been better if the vise was in what I considered to be a good and usable state right out of the box? Yes. Is it still a worthwhile purchase at the price I paid? Also yes. TL;DR - Good value despite the finishing work I had to do.

Base was warped
The base is warped and does not sit flat on my drill press platen. The base btm looks as-cast and painted with no planarization to assure post-fabrication flatness. Some might not care, but for me, this will matter for my projects. Didn't bother checking the vise operation at that point. Returning. Will spend more $ for higher quality.

Bigger and heavier that I expected
This is a chunky vise indeed. It's a bit oversized for my Skil benchtop drill press - perhaps a 3-inch would have been better - but I'm keeping it. It seems well put together and the price was very good. BTW, the unpainted, machined surfaces came in quite greasy to prevent rust in transit so expect to swab it down with paint thinner and a rag. And, you have to supply your own hold-down hardware. I used hex bolts with washers and wingnuts.

Adequate drill press vise
The PONY vise is a heavy, coarsely molded tool that will work with most drills. It’s shipped in a plastic bag, which the buyer should keep because the vise is very oily. The clamping action is not very smooth, rather crude, but given the price, it’s an OK buy.

Nice vise for my drill press. Works great and very reasonably priced. Well built and moves smoothly when clamping a work piece to drill. Pleased with this purchase.

Solid item. Heavy. precise. I find it is very handy not just on my drill press but for holding workpiece while grinding outdoors, hand drilling, filing, you name it. Makes using the drill press a LOT safer and it holds the workpiece securely. Now I want to upgrade to a larger drill press.

Doesn't exactly fit my drill press from Canadian Tire but I managed to clamp it down. It's a good sturdy vice so I'll give it 5 stars.
