LG Electronics SPJ4-S 2.0 Channel Sound Bar Wireless Rear Speaker Kit (2017 Model)

It works within seconds of plugging up. It feels like my living room is a movie theatre now, with the combination of these attachment and my LG soundbar and subwoofer..... At first, when i plugged it up, i felt like all the sound was coming through these speakers and my soundbar/subwoofer were lacking power. I basically read my manual and i had to hold down the "rear level +" button on the controller for about 5 seconds or so and then the sound went off and suddenly, i had true surround sound, with the sub woofer and soundbar sounding fully powered WITH these surround sound kits powered up as well. I watched "Captain America Civil War" and "Headshot" on netflix and it was bliss for me.... 5/5 rating.

Great Sound and Easy installation

I got these because they are the only rear speakers that are designed to wirelessly pair with my SJ4Y LG Soundbar. A sad fact + a real short-coming for LG soundbars. I bought the LG soundbar a year ago + when I wanted to add the rear speakers, I discovered they were discontinued + nearly impossible to find. As luck would have it, I DID finally find one pair that was Open-Box/Like New here so I snatched them up. So excited! I think I got the last set anywhere for sale online. When they came, I carefully set them up. But no matter what I did, they would not pair with the soundbar. And if you can't get them to pair up, they are useless cuz there's no other way to hook them up. A real downfall of wireless systems--if they fail to connect or have too much interference, sorry. No go. So now what to do? If I return them, I may never find another pair. There simply are none to buy. But if I want a complete system, I'll have to toss out my soundbar + get a newer complete system for $$. I'm stubborn. And cheap. I went on LG's website + found they offer FREE REPAIRS w/ PAID SHIPPING (for 1 year). It took a month but when I got my rear speakers, they WORKED! Let me tell u they are tricky to pair--I had to ultimately do it the manual way + watch a YouTube video on pairing tricks to get them to finally do it. Then, WOW!! They add SO MUCH depth + spatial sound quality. Love 'em. However, after a few weeks they kept dropping out or cutting out of the mix. It was so annoying. I thought maybe they really were faulty speakers + bad quality. WRONG. The problem turned out to be signal interference caused by my wifi router, which was positioned too close to the soundbar. I moved the wifi router away from the soundbar + like magic, the rear speakers quit dropping out + now stay on as they should. So it's been a long road. But I'm happy now. My advice is that if these are the speakers u need for your system and u find them for sale anywhere, BUY THEM. You can always send them to LG for repair. It beats not having them or having to throw out my soundbar + spend $$ on a new one. Who's crazy now?

Canada Post lost the original shipment but the seller promptly resend a new unit. Shipment was delivered in excellent condition the very next day of my contact with the seller. Paired it with my LG SJ5Y sound bar and the effect is very impressive. Enjoying very much the surround sound feature. Many thanks to the seller for courteous, helpful and speedy resolution. Great buy, would recommend it to anyone having SJ5UY system.
