When I thought I would have to replace the movement of a 35-year-old quartz wall clock with a new mechanism that used a different form of hand attachment I ordered this collection of hands hoping to find a set that would work well with the existing clock face and the new movement. I did find one such set in the collection. I needed a bright set of hands. to contrast with a darker face on the clock, and I needed long hands. One set of hands in this came close enough to be somewhat satisfactory, though about an inch shorter, each, than ideal. But then I was able to buy a movement onto which my old hands would fit and that removed my need for new hands. This set doesn't have a lot of long options, nor does it have great variety in color. It's mostly black and gold. But if you're willing to repaint hands in the set to the color you want, you'll probably find a set that will work for you.

Great value for the money but choose the clock itself wisely. I purchased the 6pk of quartz movement and the centers of these hands are too small. Don't get frustrated, just pay attention amd purchase the correct clock and hand set. For myself it wasn't a big deal as I plan on building many clocks but may be an issue for someone else.

Even though they are different sizes, still needed additional sizes to work well. Had to adjust some of the holes to fit the clocks, on some of them.

Great selection, possible combos

These hands did not fit the arbors of 3 different brands of quartz fit-up movements that I had bought about 20 years ago; they were too loose— that is to say, no matter which position they were placed in, as soon as the clock was moved from horizontal to vertical, both hands swung down from gravity to point at the 6. I tried to secure a pair with super glue, but I let the glue get between the hour and minute arbor and froze that movement for good, but that was all my fault. The only hands that did not slip were the second hands. Nothing wrong with the hands other than the arbor holes on all of the longer pairs were too large to fit without slipping. I gave 3 stars for the nice look of the hands, but perhaps my 3 movements were made on a nonstandard size or the hands I received were somehow punched oversize in their arbor holes... anyway, I did not discover it until long after the return window closed, so that too is my fault... my advice is to buy the movements that come with a nice selection of hands. I did that, and the clock was repaired.
