This is my first alienware desktop, was very skeptical about getting it because of all the negative talks about alienware and it's product's, decided to pull a trigger and I been using it for almost a month and it's been treating me great, no complaints, very easy to setup, very fast, games running flawless, and worth every penny for what you get. Very happy with it!

I bought this during the Black Friday sale along with an ASUS ROG Swift 360Hz 27” 1440P HDR monitor. Unfortunately, the GPU is malfunctioning and doesn’t recognize the display port. We've attempted various troubleshooting methods, including driver reinstalls, but ultimately, the excellent DELL SERVICE, WHICH IS INCLUDED, will send a technician to replace the GPU. But now, however, my PC has been stuck on the alien logo for days despite our efforts, suggesting a potential issue with the motherboard. Consequently, I've decided to return this unit and purchase another one of the same model, giving the vendor another chance. I'll keep you updated on the progress.

In 2017 I bought an Alienware Aurora R7 and that PC was freaking amazing. Ran every game I tried to play perfectly up until recently as graphics are just getting better and better. I figured it was time for an upgrade saw this R14 for $2799 on Amazon and couldn’t beat that with the 3080. This PC is $3500 on dells website. It does not function right with Windows 10 (won’t allow you to access Microsoft store) but once I put it back to windows 11 it’s perfect again. Windows 11 is easy to get used to and might be faster than 10. Hard to say. Overall this PC is great getting a constant 120-150 FPS 240hz 1080P monitor on ultra/extreme graphics on Forza 5. So far I’ve only seen it hit about 72° max and when you quit a game it’s down to 35-40° within 30 seconds. It’s also not loud at all compared to my R7. Every other game I’ve played on here 20+ different games now (Elden Ring, WOW, FH5, Sea of Thieves, cyberpunk(got louder for that one), ESO Online, No Mans Sky.. the list could go on) in a month and have really yet to see the frames drop below 70-80fps on any game maxed out minus in the loading screens. Coming from a GTX 1080 to a RTX 3080 is a game changer and super glad I did it wish I did sooner.

2 months of ownership at this point (3080 version). Overall, this is a beautiful and powerful gaming PC, truly looking like a piece of alien technology on my desk. I bought it "used" via Amazon Warehouse for a big discount: aside from not arriving in the original box, no signs of wear. The warranty had 7 months left. Just finished a playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3 on max settings at 4k resolution (FPS capped at 60 due to monitor restrictions). Zero problems, and the GPU temperature rarely rose above 65 C. The highest temperature I've seen is 75 C, and that was with GPU utilization near 100%. I've tried a bit of VR via a wired connection to a Meta Quest 2 with decent results. Google Earth is stunning. No Man's Sky has to be played at minimum settings due to severe stuttering, thought NMS VR is a notorious system hog. Performance was improved when I minimized the Steam VR's screen mirror displayed on the monitor. There is a known problem with sleep mode with Alienware on Windows 11. While sleeping the fans frequently cycle on/off, and this lead to an occasional blue screen ("Windows failed to load"), requiring a restart. Turning off sleep mode and using Hibernate instead eliminated this problem 95%. Startup following hibernate requires just a few seconds to load. Overall, thumbs up. Will update review if new problems emerge.

I love this PC. So far I can run Cyberpunk 2077 on max with no issues, at about 90 FPS. I wanted to upgrade the RAM to run at 5600 speed; the RAM it came with is 4800. There is no way to do this. The latest bios removed the ability to overclock, so the RAM timing won't change to 5600 even with the right memory. You can overclock the CPU with Ryzen Master, but it can't change the RAM speed. I'm not sure why they mention overclocking in the description. Remember that this is only the AMD version; I have heard the Intel version can still be overclocked in bios. BUT, you really shouldn't need to OC anything, it works great out of the box!
