I want to control this from my own windows program. does it enumerate as a com port that i can send and receive text commands? i don't use labview.

Yes, and it takes standard SCPI commands. Works great for this, I’ve been controlling mine with Python/PySerial.

Can the outputs be connected in series to produce higher voltages?

Yes, in series mode, it can output 60 volts, but not 64 v as you might expect, which would be twice the 32 v that it outputs in independent or parallel mode. I don't know why it limits to 60 volts in series mode, but it will output 60 v at 3.2 amps

Can this bench power supply negative voltages?

The SPD3303C is an FLOATING unipolar power supply - like a battery. The red terminal is always more positive than the black terminal. Here is some more information https://siglentna.com/operating-tip/spd-wiring/

The SPD3303C power supply comes with easy power PC software, supports SCPI commands and like all siglent instruments, has an available Labview driver.
