Excellent product
After trying a few other (more expensive) earbuds for my band’s in-ear monitor system and being disappointed, I decided to give these inexpensive ones a shot. The sound quality is excellent. I will say that the included silicone tips aren’t of good quality so plan on getting some Comply tips. The better tips allow the low end to really come out and make these sound better than the Shure’s. The earbuds should fit snugly in the ear canal. The frequency response is pretty flat overall; the highs are crisp and audible without being harsh. Mid’s are flat, maybe very slightly scooped, and the low end is punchy without being muddy. But again, the tips make ALL the difference as far as the low end goes. The memory wire works as designed. I wish the “L” and “R” letters on the drivers were more visible for use on dark stages but that’s a small complaint. They are a bit bulky due to the hybrid design and they almost look like a hearing aid or something. But if sound and price are your main concerns, these offer the best bang for the buck. The cable it comes with a strange brown color; I would’ve preferred black to match the drivers but at least the cable is quality and of the non-tangling variety. These have all the features of high end earbuds at a low end price. I’d highly recommend them and am getting 3 more for the other band members since these blow away what we’ve been using. UPDATE 10/28/21: After 4 years of using these several times per week, the cable finally began to fray. I didn’t see an option to just replace the cable do I ordered a new set. The new cable seems to have been updated and has a sturdier feel with a smooth plasticky coating on it. Time will tell but 4 years of shows, rehearsals, and sweaty punk rock is a pretty good lifespan for IEM cables.

Budget Friendly, Premium Sound!
For the price, these in-ears are absolutely EXCELLENT!!! I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but the sound quality really surprised me. The mix of the balanced armature and dynamic driver gives you clear highs and solid bass without sounding muddy. Music sounds crisp, and even when gaming, you can pick up details really well. They’re also lightweight and comfortable, so I can wear them for a while without any issues. The fit is secure, which helps with noise isolation too. If you’re looking for budget-friendly earbuds that perform way above their price point, these are 100% worth it. Definitely a great buy!

Great IEMs for a budget price.
I've used a variety of earbuds, over ear, and on ear headphones over the years. Wired, digital, bluetooth etc. These have found a place as one of my favorites I've ever used. The key to these is the clarity in the mids and highs. These aren't bass heavy like the majority of headphones are, they are very balanced only maybe lacking a very tiny bit in the highs but overall still impressive for the price you pay. I'm in a sound booth nearly ever week with audio and these have become my go to headphones even for live mixing as I can easily take them in and out and gauge the board mix with the room mix itself and they match so extremely well. My only real gripe for these is the connector from the cable to the earbuds themselves. I've never had an issue while using them at all they stay connected and don't lose or have connection issues during use. They are a proprietary 2 pin connection though different than what you would see on most IEMs. Also I did have one ear bud fall off the connector while in my pocket and the bud itself I lost for 2-3 days. I almost bought a new pair because I loved using them so much. Some cheap earbuds I found were so extremely lacking too in comparison, they weren't even powerful enough to be heard on my sound mixer. Thankfully I was able to find the missing bud though. A small case would be beneficial for these though definitely. On an added note with Apple Music now having Hi Quality Lossless with a DAC these sound great listening to music day to day too. Overall I definitely do recommend these for anyone looking for some comfortable balanced ear buds.

THESE KICK BUTT. Just buy them already.
Just... if you're on the edge, and are trying to justify getting these over something much more pricy... Let me be the one to tell you. Stop, smack yourself in the face, and hit add to cart. Please? These are life changing. My previous daily drivers are custom Alclairs, the Duel XB's and besides the custom fit which I love. These are just as good, if not better than my $300 IEM's. Best $20 i've ever spent in my life. I wanted to have a pair to fall back to incase I lost my nice ones, or if someone else needed to use them. I'm a lighting designer and have click and tracks in my ears during performances, works like a charm. Listening to music is just incredible! DEEP bass... You bass nuts will be impressed, I promise. Some IEM's have the bass, but lack clarity. These are just perfect all around. I can feel the lows, and hear the high end not over the top. I've found myself using these over my customs just because of how cheap they are, and that i'm not worried about loosing them as much. My previous throw downs were M6 Pro's which cost me $60, these kick them all over the place. A friend of mine suggested getting the upgraded cable, which I did. Truthfully, that's entirely up to you. It's much nicer, and get's tangled a lot less. The one that comes with it is nice, but does get tangled VERY easily due to it's rubber feel. NO AUDIO DIFFERENCE. Don't let comments tell you there is, because there isn't. It's purely aesthetic. If you get these and know you're getting the other cable too, get the one with the mic in it. Just so in the future you can use it for phone calls and such. That's my only regret. I now have two identical cables. NO EAR FATIGUE. None. Literally. None. I wear these 6-12 hours a day during programming sessions, and I truly cannot be any happier. They rock. There is no harsh edges, so no pressure to cause problems. They just fit, and sit, and rock. My only complaint: They don't sit super deep, and kinda stick out a bit. I find it easy to scratch my ear and accidentally pull them out. If you don't care much about that, don't worry. It's not that big of a deal. They still look like $400 IEMS. Get the carbon Fiber. My only other complaint: Please, give us a case! I'm okay paying $3-5 more for a little pouch even. ALSO. PLEASE. PLEASE. Get Foamies. For the love of God. Immediately throw away the rubbers. Do not purchase these without getting a nice pair of Comply's for isolation. You will thank me later. Other than that. Get these, Even if it's just to brag to a friend that your IEM's are better than theirs. They rock. Have a nice day!

Unbeatable at this price point and more than worth it, but may not last years for you
How I use them: Worship leader--I use them as in-ear monitors for rehearsals and on stage during live events. Frequency of use: Generally twice per week, occasionally more if we have multiple events, occasionally less if I get a week off. My take: I was honestly blown away by the sound quality at this price point. All the other five star reviews noting this are accurate. These are so impressive that they are the goto in-ears for any new member that comes on and needs a good pair fast. Some move on from them to more expensive brands, but more and more the members of our teams get these to start and then stick with them. I think mine is the first pair to suffer any kind of failure (but I was also the first to get them, so that makes sense). The only real con is that after about 9 or so months of twice-weekly-ish use, the wire in the cable on the right ear (for shaping around the ear) popped through. My best guess is it's a quality control issue, as opposed to me just being hard on them, only because I keep them in a hard case when not in use, and almost never use the right ear, keeping it out so I can better hear the room sound. Only once in a blue moon do I use the right ear and then only for a minute or so to get through a difficult part where I need to block room sound and be hyper focused to get something right. After it pierced through the cable sheathing, I gently removed it to keep it from snagging or poking or just tearing up the cable from the inside since it wasn't seated in place anymore. A few weeks later, the right ear didn't work at all anymore. Left side is unaffected. So at some point, I'll get another pair and see if it's just the cable that needs replacing or if the right monitor just went bad and it's unrelated to the cable, but for now I'm going to try out another model of KZs because they all have fantastic reviews and I want to see if I can find something even better for me. I do have relatively small ears, so these are a tad bulky, but all of them are for me. I'd need to get into the super pricey custom stuff to fix that, so these aren't faulted for that in my book. They're really great in-ears. All in all, still 5 stars because for twenty bucks I got more than 6 months worth of two hundred dollar quality. But do be aware that they probably won't last forever.

Great for the price. Bass enthusiasts beware!
As a music enthusiast, I've owned many pairs of earbuds and headphones from different brands including Shure, Audio Technica, Bose, Sennheiser, etc. Is the first time I've bought a pair of earbuds from KZ. Being unsure of the company I started with the cheapest pair, which ultimately had good reviews. For the price you pay, I can definitely recommend it to average listeners, but for enthusiasts it becomes a bit harder to recommend. Pros. 1. The fit is good. They don't fall out easily. (At least for my ears.) I can compare the fit to most Shure earbuds. 2. Very lightweight cable. Doesn't tug the buds out of your ears. I had this issue with some Shure earbuds, as they were too heavy. 3. Great mids. If you like mids, then these will definitely suit you. I personally love bass in my music, but I'll get to that later. 4. Instrument identification. You can distinguish the instruments in songs pretty well, but after listening for awhile they become meshed together, at least for me. 5. Great noise Isolation. Not as good as Shures or Bose, but for the price these earbuds can isolate a lot of noise. That's it for pros. Now for the Cons. Cons. 1. Terrible bass. The first thing I noticed when using these earbuds was the painful lack of bass in most of my songs. I am a huge electronic listener, and bass is critical to the genre. Bass enthusiasts stray away from these. 2. Hissing Highs. The highs in these earbuds are very hissy, almost unbearable at times. Electronic also relys on good highs, and the slight hissing is a big let down. 3. They start to hurt your ears after long use. I noticed after using these buds for 1 to 2 hour periods, my ears would hurt after taking them out. 4. Vocals. While these buds have great mids, the vocals are on the lacking side. When I'm listening to my favorite singers, I often have to turn up the volume to fully enjoy their voice, which is something I don't want to do. 5. Cheap chord. I know there is an upgraded chord out there, but the default chord is a bit cheap feeling. That's my honest opinion for these buds. For the price and average listener, these are great buds. For enthusiasts and especially bass enthusiasts, I would not recommend these earbuds.

Dynamic in-ear earphone review
I've only had these for a short while (two weeks) however, these these things are great. I purchased these to use in my motorcycle helmet, as I enjoy a little music while riding. I have to say they sound is very clear and plenty loud. For the price point these Dynamic in-ear earphones are amazing. would highly recommend giving this a try.

Other people aren’t lying
Update 01/11/2021: still using them and still love them! UPDATE 12/3/2018: These are still amazing - they are more comfortable than my Shure's using the default rubber tips - I tried another "upgraded" tip and didn't like it as much. my only complaint is the lack of the rubber tensioner on the cable and that the wire is shorter than the Shure wire - even the clear braided upgrade wire - neither are as long. I use the extra length for running down my back and under a shirt then back out of my jeans and looped around a belt loop then into my wireless pack or the cable off the IEM mixer and into my pocket. Not a huge deal, but the extra inches are certainly welcome. The sound is (to my ears in a live situation) as well beyind "good as needed" and significantly better than generic earbuds and the product has already held up to a point where I would say "worth every penny"... Below is my original review that I certainly still stand by. This is as good as my Shure IEMs from a sonic perspective. You can tell the difference in the general fit and little things - like no case and no little rubber piece that tightens the phones to your head. The cable is also shorter. But for 1/6th or less of the price, it’s an amazing deal. I did a four-hour Burn-in using a free app on my phone. Been listening to Sting - Living Sea and Peter Gabriel Passion through the digital out of my iPhone and it’s rich and balanced. I’ll keep burning them in, but right now I’m very impressed. Update: after about 12 hours burn-in they sound fantastic. Used them today at Sunday worship - contemporary service with full band and orchestra - rehearsal and service were about a solid hour with them in my ears. I intentionally didn’t take one ear out like I usually do. I had minimal fatigue due to size and shape as compared to my Shure IEMs. I would say they were a perfect fit with stock tips. The sound was excellent from bass to overheads. Everything was crisp and clear. I play guitar and heard every note. I ordered the clear cables, will try those next weekend, but no complaints with these stock. They are more rubbery than the clear cables, but that’s not really a negative. Just different. Oh... I originally used the twist tie that came with them to tighten them to the back of my head. Then I replaced that with a rubber grommet. That’s working for me. These are a great deal for the money.

Best value for money
This is so far the best value for money, great sound. The cable is always a hassle. Spend minutes to fix cable before use..... but it is worth it.

Not as I expected for first time IEM
It’s not that bad for gaming but I think there’s is better, the audio is magnified a lot, in case of games that require voice chat I can hear them talking like they are next to me even though they’re far away and I can’t differentiate between the voice and from where it comes cuz of that.

Unexpected Audio performance
Excellent audio , you need good Dac or Audio players like iPod to get good audio experience. Sounds really poor in phones with bad Dac so keep that in mind before buying.

Für Competitive Gaming/ Gaming ein must have !
