It works well. A very cool solar charging panel.
I bought this charger for emergency charging of our phones. We haven't had to use it in that capacity yet but we're ready. I'd been looking off and on for the right solar charger and I settled on this one because of its capacity for charging two phones at once and because of the review by another customer who had much to say about solar panels themselves (seemed to me an experienced solar panel user, more so than myself, for sure). The reviewer said that the solar panels of this charger were of superior quality (in their opinion) because these panels don't "yellow" or become brittle and break like others might do of a different composition. If I remember correctly, the other panels had a material called "PET" (these panels are "ETFE" material, whatever that is.). Anyway, that had a major influence in my decision on buying this charger and also, it's capacity to charge more than one device at a time. I have tested this charger out in full to partial sun and it worked really good as far as I could tell. My Samsung cell phone was down 11% so I put it on this charger and in less than 30 minutes it was charged to 100%. That may not seem like a big deal to many but to me it seemed very adequate and probably would be fine in an emergency. As long as the weather is sunny to mostly sunny, I believe this solar charger will perform very well (it did the other day when testing). Also, this is just a charger only. It does not store energy. That's what your phone does or a "Power Bank". This solar charger does not have any batteries built into it. When I bought this charger, I also bought two power banks to charge up with this charger so that I would have power in reserve for that emergency condition. This charger folds up neatly and it feels like it weighs a couple of pounds, so it might not be too burdensome on a hiking trip. The charging ports are inside a nicely zippered pouch (you can keep short cables in there and your clips) to protect from dust and moisture, and it comes with two carabiners for hanging. I encourage anyone interested in solar charging panels to go to this products website and read more about it. Also consider the existing reviews available on Amazon. They can be very helpful. I do have one complaint, the name of the product. I'm sure I'm not pronouncing it correctly and I asked my wife, and she wasn't sure of the correct pronunciation either, so, perhaps something a little simpler can be discussed at the next product review meeting, or whatever. In summary, it works well for us, and I do recommend this product.

Highly recommended ETFE solar charger
So... I looked around a lot before picking this up and this one was the only portable solar charger that I found that did not use PET panels. Rather, it uses the higher efficiency ETFE panels so I ordered it and crossed my fingers. I did not get this to charge tablets and laptops directly, rather, I use it to charge my 3800MAH battery bank and for that purpose, it works amazingly well. Once that battery is charged, I can use the battery to charge my devices so I can't speak to how fast it charges those directly. Now that being said, it is a solar charger so do NOT expect it to charge your devices in a couple of hours! My god if it was that effective, who would bother using Hydro electric in their homes! I plugged in my battery bank at 80% charge and within a little over an hour, it was at 100%, I would say that is dam impressive. The output has three USB outputs, one USB-A Standard, one USB-A High voltage and one USB-C. My battery bank uses USB-C type input to charge so I plugged the cable into the USB-A High voltage to the solar panel and the other end into the USB-C port on the charging input on the battery. I have every confidence in the world that this unit will last for years, it is well made and the panels are sturdy, they should not yellow with time and taken care of, will not crack and continue to perform. I don't know why some reviewers give this a bad review, maybe they are not reading the instructions or maybe they are trying to charge a device that has a huge battery and are expecting way too much from a solar charger but for me, it is the best I have seen and I have tried a few. Highly recommended

Does not perform as advertised
Ordered this to take to a Scout Camp in Iceland this month (July). Where we were , in Northern Iceland, we had 20+ hours of full daylight with unusually good weather the whole week (sunny or partially cloudy). The item claims to be able to charge in both sun and cloudy weather. However, tried to charge both power bank and cell phone (separately), but could get no substantial charge on EITHER when left to charge all day. It was absolutely useless to us. Purchased just before trip and came home yesterday, but Amazon is giving no option to return as "return window" was while we were out of country. Cannot get hold of Amazon for a refund. Extremely disappointed and would like a refund.

Great Portable Small Solar Panel!
I love this little portable solar panel! I have had it for almost 1 year and It goes with me whenever I am going to be outdoors or away from power sources. At home I use it on my patio along with a music stand to angle it for best efficiency. I would recommend trying to angle it at the sun for best results. I hade about 5 of these ranging from 21 watts to this 30 watt one. This okie has been consistently my best performer along with one other 30 watt one that I have that is a close second. Under partly to mostly sunny conditions or better, it has reliably changed my iPhone 12 Pro from 15-80 to 90% in 60 minutes. Full sun get is to 90% in 60 minutes or less. I have also clocked it from dead to 75% charge in 60 minutes. This is using the USBC port located on the control box in the pouch. Note these charge times are in mid October in south central west coast of Florida / St Petersburg. Charge times may be longer in more northern latitudes due to lower sun angle. It folds up to small enough to fit into a day pack and is not heavy either. I would highly recommend this solar panel changer to anyone and as of now after nearly a year of use, I give it 5 stars.

Actually charges devices in sunlight!
Most solar chargers I've had experience with perform rather poorly, even in direct bright sunlight. Canadian locations often have trouble with solar applications due to sunlight angles. So far, I've tested this device during summer sunlight conditions (so, higher-angle). On a reasonably bright sunny afternoon, this unit will charge my phone at a rate of about 1% every 7-15 min. This is actually really fast compared to the other solar device chargers I've experimented with. The downside: the unit is bulky and fairly heavy. But for canoe, bike, and vehicle camping it's totally worth bringing along. You might have to debate with yourself a bit about the weight and size before taking it on a backpacking trip - but if keeping your phone, GPS, SPOT, headlamp, camera equipment, etc. is really important, I'd say it's worth bringing a unit that actually works, as opposed to a smaller, lighter panel that won't really do much for charging your devices. Everything is a trade-off! All I can say is, the panel WORKS, and works fairly quickly in bright summer sunlight. The rest of the analysis is up to you!
