I picked up the 3000 model mainly for lure fishing, I really should have gone with a 4000 model but nearly a £20 difference in price, the bigger spool on the 4000 would if been the best option for me personally but this 3000 model does the job especially with fine strong braid.The Reel does everything I ask of it, it's smooth with a nice even line lay, fast retrieve too, Still early days yet to give it a full review, Little disappointed in the small amount of sideways play on the spool, Shame the tolerances wasn't a bit tighter, then again for the price what can I say! It's a bargain.

A great value reel. Does the job. Clutch is nice and smooth when playing larger fish. I did get alot of wind knots in the braided line futher back on the spool when using lighter lures (below 1g).
