Works perfect! Good quality and will not break. So far I have had not problem with scratching my doos- that was a fear of mine! This is so nice to allow for a cat to get in to litter box but keep the dogs out. Highly recommend if you you are both a dog and cat home!

This simple gadget is perfect. The door to our basement, where the litter box is, is in a busy hallway in our house and the basement door is very much in the way when it is open. We needed a way to keep it open just enough for the cats, but keep it from obstructing the hallway. Its simple, doesn't require any permanent installation and is easy to latch and unlatch.

My problem wasn’t keeping a big dog out while allowing the kitty in. We have 2 cats. Luna is our old and tiny cat, 11 year old female, under 7 lbs, but rules the roost. Our new addition Scooby is a huge, male, young, and although extremely gentle and mellow, he’s very active and gets into trouble. Bottom line, I don’t want him in the bedroom. He has complete access to the rest of the house, but not the bedroom. So what I needed is a latch that allowed my old skinny lady access, but kept the other cat out. The opening is supposed to be 4” but it measured more like 4 1/2’ and could possibly flex out to 4 3/4. I thought this might allow a determined young and very strong cat to shove his girth through. So I added some self-stick molding guaze (like you use on animals that doesn’t stick to fur) and wrapped it around my doorknob base. This allowed me to shorten the opening to around 3 3/.4” which was perfect. My skinny cat goes through like there are no barriers, and the big guy can’t even stick his head in unless he sticks it sideways. Perfect. Now, we leave the latch on all day. When she wants into the bedroom she usually sits and yowls at the door until someone lets her in. When she wants back out, she claws at the door until someone hears her. Now she has complete access and no one has to get up and let her in/out. This works very well. It’s been thoughtfully designed by someone who clearly understands the issue. It keeps the door open that tiny amount so it’s can’t slam shut on a cat coming or going. It’s vey sturdy. At the same time, it’s very simple to open and close the door (for human use) as it’s designed in such a way that one finger is all it takes. Brilliant. This would also be perfect for those who are living in rentals since absolutely no damage is done to the door, also great for folks not mechanically talented and prefer not to start a project of cutting in a kitty door. This is for indoor use only since it is designed to be accessible from either side so will not have your door secured as you’d need to do for an outside door. Luna gives it 5 stars. Scooby is still pouting.

These door hooks are truly amazing. They are so simple to install and using them is a breeze. I have one that I bought from their website probably 8+ years ago and it's still in perfect condition. You can even adjust the width the door remains open by which side of the door you attach it too. They cause absolutely zero damage to the door, jam or knob and can be moved easily. The original latch has been on the same door all these years and has left zero marks, and it's black on a white door. From what I know this seller is the original creator of this latch and the quality is the same as the first one I bought. Highly recommend!

I was considering sawing a hole in the door for a cat door to keep Ms Piggy out of the litter box, then complicated contraptions to extend the door jamb, and then found this: simple, pops right on or off, easy to get in and out of. And best of all, I get to laugh at the Pig's frustrated efforts to get her thick neck through the crack in the door. I left off one star because I never give anything 5 stars and I've only had it a day. But it looks like a winner and I may revise up after time.

These are great! Keeps the door open for the cat’s room and the dog can’t get in. I imagine a smaller dog (chihuahua size) could still get in but most other breeds can be kept out of certain spaces.

I purchased two of these FlexLatches to use while I am looking after some pups in my home. The cats are safe and can easily retreat if they want to and the dogs are happy. Easy to use and great quality.

I love this product. Have purchased a second one. Allows air flow into my bedrooms plus access for the cats while keeping the dogs out. This is a great idea.

I have two cats and large German Shepard puppy who likes to go downstairs and bother them. Then I seen this product of tiktok and decided to give it a try. What a great tool. I can leave my door open enough for the cats to get through but not big enough for the dog to get through. Easy to install and a strong product. I highly recommend this product.
