AQUAPHOR Water Filter Jug Onyx White 4.2L with 3 x Maxfor+ Cartridges

Love the look of this filter jug, which is shaped more like a traditional jug shape. Having had the filter countdown break on my last 2 Brita, thought it was time to try a mechanical countdown. Also likely to be more accurate, given it's based on actual number of times lid is opened rather than just by week. We've been using it for just over a week now, & it's hardly moved at all...so maybe the claim that filters can last 2 months will turn out to be true. The filters are easy to fit & do seem to filter more quickly. Water tastes absolutely the same as my Brita-filtered water did - water quality is just as I would hope. The huge capacity is great - but it does mean it's quite heavy, so anyone struggling to lift anything a bit heavier might need to consider that. For us, it's brilliant - attractive, easy to use, great-tasting water & brilliant value

Instructions could be better but it is incredible. Going to use the water for my Bluair dreamwell humidifier, topping up my fridge water dispenser, Nespresso machine & kettle ..With 3 cartridges included & being 4.2L .This is an absolute bargain.

Only received our jug this week & so far pleased with it. It looks nice & filter runs smooth. Water tastes nice too. This was to replace a Brita jug which had broken so will see how it performs over time. I was a bit concerned that it had a seam along the front under the spout but was assured this was normal. So fingers crossed all will be fine.

The highlight of the jug is the filter dial thast shows you when it's gonna run out. I recently purchased the AQUAPHOR Jug and have been very impressed with its performamace . The jug is easy to use, and lightweight. The filtration system work effectively, noticeably improving the taste and quality of tap water by reducing chlorine and other impurities. Very pleased with this item which I bought to replace a dreadful Brita filter jug which turned green inside with no way to clean it out. Also the lid was easily broken. The aquaphor is a much nicer design and is a great deal easier to clean than the Brita jug.

Fantastic item for the family. I can taste the difference between tap water and water coming from the jug. Large enough too. For the price it's really value for money.

I've waited a while to write this review so that I've had some use out of it first. I'm very happy with it because it's so much better than the one it has replaced. Now to answer some of the negative comments. The total capacity takes into account both the bottom and the top of the jug, but obviously it's not practical to use with unfiltered water in the top part so I would say it's safe to assume 2l to 2.5l capacity, although you could possibly filter up to 3l but that brings me to my next point. Yes it is heavier than other filters but that's due to the fact that it holds more water and water is heavy that's why I say 2l to 2.5l capacity as it starts to get too heavy otherwise. Yes you can filter water to above the base of the filter, it will rise in the base of the jug, but not sit in the filter (I don't know how this works, I just know it does). Yes the indicator does work, but it counts down rather than up (100% use left down to 0% use left) so remember to dial it up to 100. The indicator will count the number of times the lid is lifted to fill (you can only fill 1l into the top at a time) this is a more accurate indication of when the filter needs changing rather than time because a filter is only good for a certain number of litres filtered, time assumes average usage, so if you find that it's advising you to change your filter more often than you expect, it means you are filtering more water than average. Yes you can see the water remaining to be filtered, although the filter part is coloured, it's still relatively see through. To the person who said that they had trouble installing the filter, how? It just pops into the top section, you literally just drop it into place. My old one had to be pushed up and twisted, which was tricky at times. Due to the fact that the filter just drops in, it is compatible with generic Maxtra type filters that are widely avaliable. The lid may be a bit tricky to take off for some, but this is due to the fact that there is a little lip to hold it firmly in place when pouring. It's by no means hard though as I can do it OK even though my grip is impared by arthritis. On the whole I'm extremely happy with this especially as I was able to get it in black to match my coffee machine and kettle.

Tenía otra que compré por aquí que todo el rato se le caía la tapa, también era más pequeña y no era de esta marca. Esta se ve grandota, amplia, y tiene un buen tamaño de almacenamiento para no tener que estar recargandola todo el tiempo. El sabor es bastante bueno, a mí me gusta, el tamaño es el ideal para dos personas que bebemos mucha agua diariamente y se filtra bastante rápida (un plus) La única pega que tampoco considero pega es que el ser tan grande he tenido que quitar una balda para meterla en el frigorífico, pero prefiero eso a cargar botellas, además, tampoco me supone un problema porque me sigue cabiendo todo en la nevera. Tiene un precio bastante bajo para lo que ofrece, trae también un filtro, por lo que pienso que es una muy buena compra y pienso repetir en cuanto se rompa. También he de decir que los filtros son bastantes fáciles de encontrar, por lo que también es algo positivo ya que muchas veces te rompes la cabeza para encontrarlos.

enfin une carafe filtrante avec un gros litrage mais qui reste belle, réduit le calcaire accumulé dans ma bouilloire et dont l'eau est tellement bonne qu'on la boit volontiers sans additif.
