very bad arthritis as it is believed he was hit by ...
I have a rescue dog that we adopted as a senior. He has very, very bad arthritis as it is believed he was hit by a car during his life on the streets, and he never received care for the resulting fractures. He was on a therapy plan which included Rimadyl, and some other Rx pain management medication, and the traditional joint supplements. This summer he really started to struggle with his mobility, despite the robust medication and supplementation plan he was on. That is when I decided to try Turmeric. I wanted a supplement that was easy to feed and that wouldn't break the bank. After researching available products and reading reviews, I settled on these Bites. Within a few weeks, I could tell that my dog was feeling better. His mobility improved, and his overall demeanor changed. I could just tell he was more comfortable. He is still receiving his other medication and supplements, as this was an addition to his therapy plan and not a replacement for anything. He has been on this supplement, fed as directed 1x a day for about 6 months now and I am going to keep him on it for the rest of his life. I have recommended it to friends and family, and a few people that I work with in dog rescue that are fostering or adopting senior dogs that have problems with arthritis. Another benefit of this supplement is its anti-cancer properties. My dog is a lab/golden cross, and he has the typical lumps and bumps that the breed gets as they age. Since adding the Turmeric bites to his diet, the lumps have appeared to shrink in size and I haven't noticed any new growths. PS- when I told my vet that I had added this to his care plan, she was very impressed and told me I made a good decision. Attached is a photo of my old man. Adopt- don't shop, and adopt a senior! It will be one of the most rewarding experiences in your life.

This product is like ‘THE SUPERHERO’ for dogs!
This product is AMAZING! Turmeric to the rescue!! I have a rescue dog named Jake, who is 15, and was diagnosed with IVDD - intervertebral disc dz a few years ago. He is a typical Heinz ... jack russell/chihuahua/spaniel/whippet/Italian greyhound and probably a few others. He’s around 17 lbs and has had a sensitive stomach forever (colitis dx at 1 yr that about broke my bank trying to figure out what was wrong with him). He would get mad and snarl with ears pinned back with attempts to bite me when I would encourage him to get up from his bed to go outside. It was like he was saying “don’t touch me, I’m in pain”. The vet gave him a prescription for gabapentin for dogs (nerve pain agent) that kind of worked but not really. THEN, I was researching and decided to go with this product. I know how great turmeric is for the human body and had to try something else. It’s seriously like a miracle for my little guy. He is spry, jumping up, running in quick circles again when he gets excited (he hasn’t done this in years). He’s been taking this everyday 1/2 of a tablet for about a year. Because of his sensitive stomach he would throw up if it was too much so we had to find that balance with quantity that worked just right. I mix both Merrick and Billy and Margo hard dog food brands and use the canned Merrick pate-like texture only when I give him the turmeric each morning. He hates the turmeric taste and if I don’t mask it well he spits it out. He’s super smart but I’ve still managed to make it look appetizing in small pieces covered in yummy soft food that he loves. He too has thrown up or pooped out soft yellow-ish stool on my expensive carpet a few times when we were figuring out dosage of turmeric tablets but once we got through that he’s been a champ ever since. I even stopped giving it to him for about 7 days— literally my own case study— specifically to see if his behavior and overall well being declined without it and it totally did. Of course, I slowly introduced it back in and this is now a permanent staple in his everyday diet, for the rest of his life. No doubt this has improved his overall health and quality of life, I’m 100% certain of it. Thank you!

SAVED OUT DOG'S LIFE!!!!!!!!
We love this and other products by Zesty Paws BECAUSE IT SAVED OUR DOG! Our Mischka, a rare breed Karelian Bear Dog developed a low hormone thyroid problem. By the time the vet got it under control her immune system was terribly out of whack. The vet was at a loss and didn't know what to do. He kept giving her lotions because she had lost almost all her hair and itched terribly all over. On a 60-pound dog a tube of lotion isn’t going to do much. She had scaly patches all over her that were red and inflamed and itching. She licked herself constantly to try and relieve the problem. Her skin was pink and smelled terrible. Her eyes had glazed over to the point that we thought she had cataracts and we thought we would have to put her down. She was miserable. and had a terrible life-threatening case of Candida. I figured this out by researching the internet. It happens when their digestive system and immune system is whacked out. We tried everything to help her. Finally, I found a sight that suggested a probiotic, turmeric, baths in anti-itch medicated shampoo and then rinsing with apple cider vinegar all over. After 6 months of trying everything and hundreds of dollars in vet bills we decided if this didn't work we would have to put her down. She had lost so much weight she was half her normal size and it was cruel to have her in such miserable shape. We had lost two others dogs in the last year to cancer and didn't want to lose another but we couldn't let her suffer much more. We began by giving her a bath every day and rinsing her in apple cider vinegar. She wasn't happy with us but we kept going. We changed her bedding every week. We should have changed it more but decided to wait and see if this would work. We would scrub her with a soft bath brush to make sure we got all the scales off each time in order to let her skin dry out and the vinegar get to it. We didn't have to worry about hair because it was almost all gone. We never rinsed the vinegar off nor did we dry her afterwards. We just let her run out in the yard to get dry. It was summer so that helped. After the 1st week she was looking better. The 2nd week she got even better. We were giving her the Zesty Paws Turmeric Curcumin Bites, Zesty Paws 5 in 1 Multi-vitamin Bites, Zesty Paws Calming Bites, Zesty Paws Mobility Bites and Zesty Paws Allergy Immune Supplement Bites. We were also giving her a separate probiotic for her digestive system, thyroid pills, Benadryl, and another chondroitin glucosamine pill so we had to buy the pill pockets or she would spit them out. Yes, it was expensive but cheaper than the vet bills. Besides, she is worth every penny. After two weeks we switched her to a bath every week and continued the medications and switching out her bedding. We were seeing a breakthrough. After 5 weeks her beautify black and white hair started growing back in and she was no longer pink all over and itching. She was still pink under her legs so we kept going. After 2 months all the pink was gone her skin was covered with hair and she no longer itched. Her eyes were clear and she began acting like she did when she was 5 years old. She is great now. Her beautiful hair is once again thick, soft and shiny and she has gained back her weight. Oh, I forgot to tell you she is 14 ½ years old. THANK YOU ZESTY PAWS FOR GIVING US BACK OUR BABY!!!!

Good Idea, But Depends on Your Dog
I purchased this for my senior Siberian Husky before she passed away. She ate it willingly the first few times, then became less interested, so I mixed it into her food. While it’s a good concept and quality product, every dog responds differently. I personally chose not to repurchase and instead used natural turmeric with a tiny pinch of black pepper added to her meals. I appreciate having tried it, but it just wasn’t the right long-term fit for her.

Dog says no
I bought Zesty Paws for the benefit. My dog is pretty good about eating what I give him, and for two days he ate these, then on the third day ran the other way. I tried putting it in his food bowl and he would eat it, it tried with another treat and he wouldn't touch it. I would recommend buying this at a Pet store first to see if your dog likes it, and if it's a go then order it on Amazon, otherwise you'll be throwing your money away if your dog won't eat it, because Amazon won't allow you to return it if it's open.

Great Product. Vet approved. Noticeable results.
We have 3 precious dogs; ages 8, 11, and 14. Our youngest is very athletic, but recently tore her ACL, and had to have surgery. In the recovery process, our vet recommended using turmeric to aid in her joint inflammation. After investigating several products, I chose this one because of the amount of curcumin, positive reviews, and the fact that they are soft chews. We started to give them to all of our dogs. We really noticed an improvement in our oldest dog. She has more pep and zest, and acts like a puppy again. No more straining to get up and move around. We really feel these Zesty Paws Turmeric soft chews are the source for this improvement. She is the most picky one of the bunch, so a little peanut butter on it, and she eats it with no problem. Our other dogs eat them without hesitation. It is true that they can stain due to the soft nature of the bites, so just be careful to wash your hands afterwards. After some study, the soft chews absorb better in the dog's system than some of the hard tablets out there, and is a pleasant alternative to the paste that is sometimes recommended. We are definite repeat customers and so happy to have the puppy nature of our oldest dog back again.

Great ingredients, effective, but they stain EVERYTHING
I think this is a great product. The ingredients are better than most tumeric supplements on the market for dogs. I only have a couple complaints. First, they should add some type of chicken/beef flavor to it because my dog refuses to eat them Most of the time- I have to trick her to get her to eat them. Second, please be aware- these stain EVERYTHING! We put them on the floor for our dog to get, they stained our carpets, our rugs, and our hardwood floor. And these stains do NOT come out. No magic eraser, shout, etc can do the trick- they’re there forever- yellow stains. The slightest bit of moisture or if your dog or you step on them, they will stain. We will continue to buy these and be careful about how they’re given and continue to trick my dog to get her to take them because I really do like the ingredients, but buyer beware of staining and to the company; please make these more flavorful and tastefully appealing to the pups! Thank you!

Great product! We saw immediate results!
We just received our 3rd order! This product is great. Our age 9 Golden Retriever was having a difficult time moving. Our walks, playing ball and her energy was slowing down. She was having a hard time getting up from playing down, and seldom came up on the bed to cuddle. I began looking for health alternatives and came across this product. The dosage for her size is 3 chews a day. I gave her the first dose in the evening. That night she needed to go out to potty more than usual; but the next morning, when we got up, she jumped right up tail wagging. Usually getting up after sleeping she is stiff and slow, but she was energetic and bouncy, she even played with our 15 mo old puppy. We noticed an improvement right away, and noticed when we skipped a day. So now it is on our monthly products list. We give it to her in the mornings, and she sleeps thru the night no problems. I Highly recommend this product for older dogs. I am sure it would be just as beneficial for younger dogs too, especially for the immune building qualities. Chews are soft, easy to eat and easy to crumble over food as well. They smell fine and the dogs seem to like them, she reminds me every morning to give them to her.
