I wanted to try this light out when I heard it was so small and so bright and it does live up to the hype. First it is the only sofirn headlight with good beam spread, I've had others which were the opposite. Pinpoint beams with little spread to cover up their minimal brightness by concentrating in one spot. The lens is a tir and it appears to be a fresnel lens. So it does not waste any of it's lumens. There are 4 brightness levels and the lowest is great for close up so that you don't overpower your eyes the highest is great for walking at night, although you don't want to look at your significant other when on high or you are gonna make them mad. The battery is tiny and the overall weight of the headlamp is light enough that you barely notice it. A couple other cool features that this light has are internal charging, you don't need to have or buy a lithium battery charger, all you need is a USB c charger and you are covered which is great. And it has a magnetic end cap which I used working on my car and it clipped right on the hood and shown perfectly on the engine. The strap however was a challenge to figure out. Here's my instructions after you get the headband through the flashlight mount pass the larger end through the smaller and then loop the larger end back the other way and pinch the strap to go into the half bars on the larger end. Then you should have an end on each side and you slide them forward to loosen and rearward to tighten. Great light that punches way above it's weight

Standing just 2-5/8” inches tall and having a 5/8” diameter lens/reflector, this mini right-angle headlamp puts out a ton of light. Up to 1100 lumens on “turbo” mode. There is a nice flood of light where you want it too without having a blinding hot spot. Wearing a headlamp usually means you’re taking a walk or working on things close up. You don’t want a spotlight but more of a flood of light in the direction you need it. This HS10 doesn’t disappoint. Utilizing a small 16340 lithium-ion battery this little light still gets an amazing amount of runtime. 150 hrs on the lowest “moon light” setting and almost an entire hour on the max “turbo” mode. I will say if you’re using turbo for longer than a few minutes or so, you probably should think about a different light. Putting the light on it’s medium mode will get you about 2 hours of run time which I think is more than enough to be able to do most tasks someone would use a headlamp for. Car repair, changing a flat tire, crawling around the attic or wiggling through cave orifices should all be comfortable at medium mode. Unscrewing the tail cap about a half turn will also save the battery from any parasitic drain while not in service or while being stored. And when turning on, the power button will illuminate for a few seconds either green or red to indicate the battery charge status. Just like most newer flashlights Sofirn makes, there’s no need for a separate battery charger. Simply plug the light into your cellphone charger via the included USB-C cable and charge the battery while in the flashlight. There are several features I really like about this light. The tail cap is magnetic which allows you to mount the light on anything metal if you need to. There’s also a pocket clip included which makes this compact light an easy choice for an EDC (every day carry) light. It’s waterproof with an IPX-8 submersion rating. It has a disorienting strobe, sos, and beacon setting that would come in handy during a self defense or a wilderness survival scenario. 4000K vs 5000K color temps: Even for me, this was difficult to decide on. So I bought both :-). Sofirn makes two different versions of this HS10 headlamp. One light has a warm white 4000K color temperature and the other has a cooler white 5000K color temperature. To my eyes, the 4K light looks amazing. It makes all the colors appear much more vividly and accurate making it very comfortable on my eyes vs the 5K version. It also seems like the 5K appears to cast a greenish/bluish tint on everything which, compared to the 4K light, strains my eyes just a bit. The only downside to the 4K version is that it visually appears to not be as bright or throw as far as the 5K version. But I’m only talking by a fraction, most people probably won’t even notice. My final thoughts are this headlamp is perfect for anyone who needs to keep their hands free while working and who doesn’t want to feel like they’re wearing a bulky contraption on their head. This light feels weightless while being worn and is also something you could easily run/jog with. It is also the perfect size and would make an excellent headlamp for children. And with the warm white light of the 4K temp it is very pleasing to look at. The features of this light also makes this a steal at less than $30. Choosing either version, you can’t go wrong. If you have older, errr, um, wiser eyes like me, 4000K will be your choice. If you just don’t like warm white light or want the cooler feel, the 5000K version will be equally perfect! This little light is easy to use, fits in tight spaces, and survives falls and dings. It's bright, compatible with gloves, and has a simple interface. Just beware that the battery life will drop off fast at high brightness, and the headband is the cheapest possible way to hold onto this light. The tail magnet could also be slightly stronger, just for peace of mind. If I lose this one, I'm buying another because it's too useful not to have. Note: This light DOES support proper C-C charging. NOTE: This light is currently not available, but other companies have exact copies or similar models under the HS10 model number. I had been using a larger 18650 flashlight as a headlamp for a while, and it was starting to get annoying when camping due to being a little too large to be usable long-term. Finally bit the bullet on this one--glad I did. Pros: - 90CRI Rating for better color reproduction - Easy-to-set modes, just read the instructions - Smaller battery size allowing it to be a lot lighter - 90-degree mounting of the lens lets me center the light on my head better - Rear cap switch vs. side button, easier for me to locate in the dark quickly - Great battery life Cons: - The strap is a little confusing to put together, but I was able to find a YouTube video that helped. I can't remember the exact video, but you can search for "Fenix Headlamp Strap Assembly" as that company uses the same design. - I prefer three-strap mounting systems with one that goes over the top of the head too, but since this lamp is light, you may not have an issue. Unknowns: - Longevity of water resistance: haven't tested long-term in damp or cold conditions. Charge port is covered with a rubber plug, not the twist-and-hide of some other lights. In all, great value for the price. I'm consistently impressed how cheap flashlights from companies like Sofirn and Wurkkos are for what you get. Can easily buy 3x flashlights for the cost of a Streamlight or Olight.

I've got two of these headlamps. These are great.

Got this because my other headlamp was heavy and bulky. This is neither. Alos having the single strap you can drop it to your neck when it's in your way on your head. Another plus is I have other lights that can slip into the mount to swap out when this goes flat

Bought this on a whim when on sale for 25 bucks. It seems to be excellent quality and the UI works well. What I haven’t seen mentioned in other reviews is how hot this gets, particularly on turbo mode. I haven’t tried it, but I genuinely think you could use it to start a fire if you held dark paper up to it. Literally too hot to touch within seconds. But turbo is overkill anyway. Low and medium seem like useful power levels. I’m especially impressed with the ‘moon’ level and can see that coming in handy a lot (eg not waking others in a dark tent). I had to look up a YouTube video on how to do the head strap. Easy enough once it’s pointed out, but baffling when you first open the box. All in all happy!
