I wear behind the ear hearing aids. are these comfortable for btehearing aids?

My husband has behind the ear hearing aids and he wears these with no trouble.

What batteries are required? How long do the last? Are they hard to change?

4 AAA batteries - the outside slide panel makes them easy to change. My wife has 3M Peltor tactical 6S electronic ears and they are a nightmare to pry apart to the change batteries and then another hassle to snap the pieces back together. I find these more comfortable to wear when I attend the long 4 day defensive handgun classes. I did have an amplifier go out on one side after 6 mo of use, but they are cheap enough to buy another set. I bring my less comfortable Howard Leight Sports set for backup when I attend classes.

Do they get in the way of shooting a rifle with the muff hitting the stock?

I have several rifles and have not had any problems with the muffs hitting the stock. They are great

Will these adjust to fit a pre-school child?

I can't say for sure because I don't have a young child to try them on but there is a lot of adjustment to them if that helps. I really like these hearing protection ear muffs!
