This ladder is reliable & easy to use. The compact form hides easily in the cost closet in the winter, because we use it to shovel off our roof. It’s not very heavy, it’s lighter than a bag of dog food kibble.

I was skeptical of telescoping ladders for a long time but found myself needing a compact ladder that could allow me to reach the top of a vehicle that is roughly 10 feet tall. Without getting a huge standard ladder and putting it on a ladder rack on the roof (not an option in my case), or taking up huge amounts of room inside, I finally decided to take a chance and give this one a try. It checked all the boxes, so, on paper at least, it seemed great. I’m truly impressed by how light it is compared to almost any other ladder I’ve owned. It’s simple to carry around and setting it up couldn’t be simpler. It can extend even higher than I will likely ever need so I have the option to use it only partly extended, which feels sturdier, though I’m not sure how much difference that really makes. But I have the option to stay relatively low, or to reach even higher places, if needed. It locks securely in place when you extend each section so it feels very secure. When completely retracted to its smallest size it stores away easily until I need it again. One feature I wasn’t expecting is that, when lowering each section, it stops just above where your fingers might get pinched, so I think you would have to really try to smash a fingie with this. It’s a little bit bendy if you have the base out too far, but finding the balance between stability and not bowing the thing too much is pretty easy. Overall, I’m very pleased with it. I expect it to get a lot of use and I feel safe climbing it. It’s versatile enough that I expect to have it with me even when the current use case ends.

Awesome design, easy to store and transport, easy to extend and collapse, nice materials used. I tried a different brand ladder also but this brands quality is better and more sturdy and reliable.

The Main Negative (CRITICAL FLAW): Pinch Hazard During Retraction: My one major negative is when you go to collapse it. The sections crash down surprisingly fast and will pinch your fingers badly if you aren't extremely careful and follow the instructions precisely. It needs a better slow-descent mechanism. Overall Impression: The Telescoping Ladder, SocTone 12.5 FT Aluminum Lightweight Extension Ladder is a practical and well-made tool, perfect for occasional home use. It offers great value and saves significant storage space. However, due to the fast retraction and pinch hazard, I can't give it a perfect score. You need to be very mindful every time you close it.

Easy to operate and easy to store. It is sturdy for a ladder of its type and I use it regularly to get on top of my RV when it needs cleaning or to remove leaves before leaving the campsite.

This lightweight ladder was used to paint my ceiling peaks that reach 15 ft. I did not climb to the top, but also used a telescoping paint roller. It can be used anywhere to reach those heights. You need to lean the ladder securely. It can be closed up and stored easily. This was a very good buy. Pay attention to the weight limit.

I wish I had bought this ladder years ago. I have the heavy, make into any size ladders that are very heavy. They are great. But there are a lot of times and places I don’t need a heavy ladder, but one that I can get out fast and do a small job up high without breaking my back. This ladder is the answer. It’s light yet strong. One hand carried and fits inside the pickup cab. Rated for 330 lbs. smooth up and down. It has been holding my 260 lbs just fine all the way to the top. I wouldn’t lean it at a large angle and use, but you shouldn’t do that with any ladders. The ladder has really surprised me at how easy and good it is. Very well worth the money. I just ordered another for a gift.

I purchased this in 2022 to go with my travel trailer. I weighed 200-ish at the time. I've used it regularly over the past couple years. When set up properly you can work from it. It has been covered in mung from cleaning a roof under a live oak in FL. Rinse it off and wipe it down. I leave it extended to dry if it gets rained on or hosed down before I pack it away. Always slides freely. Just be careful you don't smash your fingers collapsing it. You'll only do it once though. Easy to stow. Easy to deploy. After a couple years and countless times used, the clip buckle still holds it tight as new when closed. Highly recommend. If you've never used a telescoping ladder you'll feel uneasy the first time you use it. But after three or four times you'll be dancing on it.

So far so good! This looks and feels like it should be more expensive! Works exactly as described, folds up to an easy to manage size, just be aware it’s heavier than it looks. Great for storage and small jobs around the house. Obviously it’s designed for specific projects and certainly won’t work for every job but so far it’s done the trick. Silly, but I really like the telescoping feature, it’s very satisfying 🙂

I have never really used and never owned a ladder before, but after buying this one, I'm very impressed. Extending is is easy, setting up is simple and besides the occasional bend when reaching higher heights, it's comfortable and I feel safe on this ladder. I mainly use it for gutter cleaning, and it's compact size can allow it to store with little to no room. When extending fully, it's difficult to telescope the ladder back down. You will require extra help for this.

Very happy with this purchase. The ladder is fantastic, easy to use, and lightweight. The ladder also drops down to a size that is great for storage.
