Durable, accurate, solid, and easy to install. This scope mount has held reliably on my rifle for a few years now. Great build quality. I had my doubts at first but all those went away after it arrived and was mounted on my rifle.

Most cantilever mounts of this quality cost twice as much. Some have complained about the six retaining screws on each ring but I appreciate how well it holds. Also, it is a true 25.4 mm ring diameter without tape on the inside. It clamps firm without distortion and maintains point of aim. The extra large locking studs engage the picatinny slots cleanly and remain tight. I have had this mount on a .22 magnum for several months and it remains true. Highly recommended.

I have a number of older single shot .22LR rifles that I benchrest at 50 yards. I use vintage scopes. The Monstrom products have been working well, and are a cost effective solution to the far higher end expensive scope mounts needed for much longer range shooting. While mounting this cantilever was easy, I failed to notice there were burrs on the edges of the saddles where the scope sits. Only after I lightly attached my scope, moving it to locate eye relief and assure it was matched vertically with the rifle, did I notice the burrs were permanently scarring the gloss black finish on the scope. I disassembled everything, took out a small half moon file, and removed all the burrs from the Monstrom edges. This does not affect the mount, nor do the ugly permanent scratches affect the scope's usefulness. I am relatively new at this, so my bad and my stupid mistake I will avoid. If you buy any lower cost scope mounts, a respectful suggestion is to insure the finish of the mounts is completely smooth at the edges. I otherwise highly recommend Monstrom mounts.

I’ve been very pleased with this mount so far. Torqued down the screws with Loctite on my 3x9x40 Nikon scope to a picatiny rail. The extra rise was just what I needed for the spacing as my other scope rings had the reticle sitting on the rail and just weren’t going to work. Sits straight and plumb with no interference in opening my lower to clean when needed. Easy to mount and adjust for eye relief. Holds true so far but I’ve only put 40 rounds through it, but with the loctite and amount of screw points I really can’t see this going anywhere. In the end it’s a chunk of metal, kind of hard to screw it up.

Machined well, no artifacts, coating was a uniform matte with no defects. Mounted snugly, fit scope perfectly, no daylight. Scope and barrel precisely level out of the box. Best part, though, I went to lap the rings, and they were off by LESS than the coat of paint on the rings. That's impressive. Expect this to go up in price, ordering a second just to have it. Slapped some red locktite on the ring screws for the range, we'll see how she does!

I was a little bit worried about this purchase because of the price and not knowing anything about the company except from the reviews on Amazon. The reviews I read are spot on this is a quality product and when i installed my Burris 4.5-14 in it for my AR 15 it was a breeze ans seemed very solid since it is one piece. I like the ability to be able to position it where I want for the best performance on a pic rail and am considering it again for one that I have on the way, mine was the screw type mount but I would like to try the quick release also and my get one of those for this rifle and put this one on my Varmint Ar that is in the mail. Buy it you wont be sorry, plus it would make a nice mount for a block of wood to test repeatability of scopes.

Cheap and easy

Tried to put modern optics on the old relic. Bad idea - it won't work. Luckily, good guys at Local Imports accepted the return without loops and hoops, which often happens when dealing with overseas sellers.
