This I bought for practice. Not because I wanted to know how to use a knife, but to improve my balance and reflexes. This is a good piece because it moves well and has no jiggle play in the mechanism. Works real well for practice.

Been using it for about a week now and I don't have many complaints. It's made out of pure steel, so it can handle being dropped a few times, but it will pinch your thumb and hurt your knuckles if you are not careful. Unfortunately it does make your hand smell like metal after a while, but its not as strong as a handful of pennies. Since it's bushing are metal on metal, it will get stuck after a bit if you don't flick it hard enough, but a bit of oil or WD-40 can help. Overall 9.1/10, it's great for beginners, and it will last long thanks to the build quality.

It's a good practice balisong, smooth and durable, I have already drop it many times. Way safer to use then my actual one. It can lock in to each position easy with the latch, it's a good size and weight to to practice with. One thing bad is the handles came a little loose, but can be fixed by tightening.

Sturdy construction, great balance, perfect weight, comfortable when flipping, and great for practicing and perfecting flipping and new tricks. You cannot beat the quality of this trainer for the pricetag it sits at. I find myself playing with this thing CONSTANTLY. My friends and I have dropped it many times (I'm an amateur flipper still learning) and yet it still holds up as well as the day I got it. My other balisong trainers have loosened up a lot with significantly less use than this balisong. If you're a beginner or just want a budget flipper to play with wherever you go, I highly recommend this trainer! (however it still LOOKS like a real knife so people may eyeball you of you flip it around in public considering that butterfly knives are illegal.) I even just purchased the "comb" version of this same trainer, that way I have another one with a more practical use. I haven't used a balisong in years and this trainer has helped me pick up my old tricks and learn a lot of new ones as well. When learning and practicing new tricks, this bali is the easiest to use. It's also very easy to transition to a real balisong knife when I learn them using this trainer first. I only wish I could find this exact design in a real balisong somewhere! Don't waste your money on those all-black "Anlado" and "Moon Boat" trainers. They're OK but loosen up easily, and are cheap junk compared to my Vornnex.

I picked up the silver version of the VORNNEX Practice Butterfly Knife Trainer a while ago, and it's been an okay option for practicing. The build quality is decent—it's a full-metal knife, so it feels solid in the hand, but it has a bit of a downside. One of the hinges tends to stick sometimes, which makes flipping the knife a little tricky. It took some time to get the hinge worn down so it would move smoothly, which was a bit annoying at first. The knife is pretty heavy, which is something to keep in mind if you're just starting out. If you don't hold it properly, it can hurt your hands after a while. The full metal construction gives it a sturdy feel, but that weight can really put a strain on your hands, especially when you're flipping for an extended period. It's a decent practice trainer for the price, but the sticking hinge and the weight can be a bit frustrating, especially for beginners. Once you get the hinge worked in and get used to the weight, it works fine, but it might take a little time to get there. The silver color adds a nice sleek touch to it as well.

My son wanted one of these for christmas and since he'd never had a practice butterfly before we opted for this model given it's review and price point. I'm glad we did. It's perfect for his needs and he is happy with it and plays around with it for hours each day while on his computer or reading. it's a great buy

One of the best training butterfly knifes for the price. Pros. -Durable, -Looks nice. -Feels nice. -Spring latch works fine. -Screws still didn't come loose after a year. Cons. -A little heavier than you might want. P.S. You need to oil it quite frequently.
