Lots of moss...!
This moss came VERY tightly compressed, about 1 1/2in thick... Peeled off as little as possible to rehydrate and have ready if needed, thin like a sheet or two of paper. Filled up a whole coffee can to the brim.(Brim, coffee? lol..nm.) Appears too be good quality, smells fine, didnt notice any bad odors as some have stated. Little to no "sticks"/"other" debris. Using as supplement to soil(and alone) for propagation.. seems to be just fine for that. Seems a good value for the $$.

Plant coverage
This moss coverage actually did a nice job of keeping my plant covered. You get quite a bit of moss in a brick form. However, it's messy tearing/cutting off how much you need. Soaking the moss and applying the moss take skill and patience. I've never worked with this product before so it took a few tries to get it positioned right. Seems to be doing its job because my plant looks happy.

Will not be ordering this brand again.
I think everyone in the plant community is feeling a bit to the wallet when it comes to buying Spaghnum Moss, prices have doubled over the last year. I decided to give a few other brands a try due to cost. This was one of the brands I chose, I use this Moss for propagating and for D Shape Moss Poles I make myself. This Moss is absolute trash. I used it, because I'm already broke and I wasn't letting the 2.2lbs I bought go to waste. I do not know yet how the moss is going to do over the week with holding moisture, I'll come back with an update, but I don't have much faith. This Moss is just low quality, not fluffy and no full long fibers. This feels like what a good company swept up from their manufacturing floor when they compress it. I spent so much time picking sticks and leaves! actual leaves, from multiple other plants within the moss, and this was the smallest pile in the pic out of 6 piles of debris that I cleaned out of the one of two compressed bricks I purchased. This truly is a case of you get what you pay for, but the good stuff is double the price for the same amount because of capitalism 😔. These bricks are super compressed, way more than other brands I've used which I was actually excited about, I got the large dried bales usually and they take up so much room. I compared the amounts with the previous brand I've purchased for years, and according to the description and the graphics the amounts are supposed to be equal. This is absolutely not the case, but I truly believe this is due to the low quality and the fibers being of such bad quality. When hydrated, my previous bale filled four 4ft Moss poles, and of this brand, the one compressed brick didn't even fill one 4 ft Moss pole completely. So at this rate, it's more economical to buy the better quality brands and pay more, in this case it's just worth it. I hope the pic helps, and I wish I would have thought to take a pic of the fibers, and compare, I wish more buyers would post pics of the moss once hydrated, it would have stopped me from buying. The better brands, may have a little stick here and there, but not any other unwanted debris. Buy with extreme caution.

oh wow!
excellent quality. very little branches and junk in the moss. wonderful length on the fibers. I use it in my moss poles for my airoids and climbing plants and also as a soil amendment. absolutely the best I have found. when it is moistened you can really feel the quality. it is very soft and stable. also as a soil amendment is seems to brake down much slower and I don't have to worry about it leeching chemicals hurting my plants. amazing value for the quality and quantity you receive. I have recommended this moss to all of my plant friends.

Very happy with the quality of this sphagnum moss. It comes highly compacted, which is great for storage, but be prepared—it takes a bit of effort to take apart. I was a little impatient at first and misjudged the amount: started with too little, then definitely went too far, and now I have a whole bucket of hydrated moss left over 😄 That’s on me, not the product—but it’s worth knowing that it expands a lot once wet. Because it’s so tightly packed, cutting it into blocks with a saw or strong knife before hydrating might actually make things easier and more manageable. Once prepared, the moss works really well. Plants seem to love it, and it holds moisture nicely without feeling slimy or breaking down too quickly. Overall, great quality and good value. I’d absolutely buy it again—just with a bit more patience next time.
