405 is the ANSI FL1 verified figure - measured output, not a peak number held for a few seconds. The TIR lens turns it into a smooth 285ft beam with no darkrings. Compare verified throw and runtime, not headline lumens.

How do I charge it? Does it need a proprietary dock or a magnetic puck?

Neither. A hidden USB-C port takes any USB-C cable you already own - no dock,no magnetic puck, no vendor lock-in. A full charge delivers 7.5 hours of runtime. Charging takes about 1.5–2 hours from empty.

Is it genuinely waterproof, and will it survive being dropped?
