THERE WILL BE NO SPOILERS, BUT THIS IS A VERY RAW, GRITTY MOVIE. I GAVE IT FIVE STARS FOR A FEW REASONS. FIRST, IT TAKESABOUT TWENTY MINUTES BEFORE IT EXPLODES, SO YOU MUST BE PATIENT. THEN, THE EVENTS THAT OCCUR ARE NON STOP FOR ONE HOUR. THREE FRIENDS GO TO UPSTATE TO CHECK OUT AN URBAN LEGEND. THEY FIND SOMETHING ELSE. THIS FILM DESERVES SO MUCH CREDIT BECAUSE THE DIRECTOR WAS WILLING TO GO ALL THE WAY. IN SCENE AFTER SCENE, HE LETTHE ACTORS GO, AND THEY TOOK THEIR CUES FROM HIM. THE RESULT IS REALLY SPECTACULAR. THERE IS CONSTANTTENSION, SUSPENSE AND HEAVY DUTY FRIGHT. I AM A HORROR FAN, PRETTY HARD CORE, AND I WAS GETTING UP ATINTERVALS TO GO TO THE KITCHEN AND GET A DRINK OR PAUSE THE TV AND GO FOR A THIRTY SECOND WALK. THIS ISONE OF THE MOST INTENSE FILMS, LIKE THE ORIGINAL TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE, HIGH TENSION, BORDERLANDS,AND OTHER REALLY HARD HITTERS. TRUST ME. ALSO THE ENDING IS COMPLETELY UNPREDICTABLE. ENJOY THIS ONE A LOT.ALSO, I REALLY ENJOYED, ALL ON PRIME.......WISH UPON.......THE HEX.......THE DROVING, (ALSO TAKES TWENTY MINUTES TO WARM UP) AND THE ULTIMATE MASTERPIECE......MIDSOMMER, AND IT IS SPELLED THAT WAY. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ALLOWANYONE UNDER NINETEEN TO VIEW THIS. THIS IS NOT HYPERBOLE. AGAIN, WARMS UP SLOWLY, BUT LEADS TO A VERY POWERFULENDING. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF THIS FILM. This was actually good. Saw like situations but this is not a Saw rip off. A psycho abducts people in a deserted town and brings then to an abandon high school to pit them against each other for food. Good acting, dialogue and story. The tormentors have a unique reason for their brutality which is revealed in a twist ending. This is the kind of horror that gets your mind working trying to figure out what bizarre motive the perpetrators have for such evil behavior to innocent people. Much better than the usual Prime horror schlock. There is some gore but no torture porn. Kept my attention right up to the ending. Recommended

Acting in this flick is not very good. Sometimes movies can still be entertaining even with bad acting. I found this type to be somewhat annoying though. I don't know how to explain it. On top of that they got really lazy in the effects department. Example, guy gets his neck sliced and cgi blood squirts out at 60fps. It just looked so fake. I mean even the simplest pocket change funded indie movie could muster up a small tube and pump to make blood squirt from a neck.I shouldn't even give this 2 stars but I can't say I hated it, I just didn't like it. This movie was downhill from the beginning but at least I can say I almost got an hour into it before moving on.

I'm going to be honest, I didn't hate it. I am constantly on the lookout for new horror movies to watch, so I've watch enough really really crappy ones that maybe my rating system is a little skewed. I probably am way more forgiving than most people when it comes to horror movies. At this point, I look for something that keeps my attention, that I'm not constantly rolling my eyes through, where the acting isn't so bad it seems like a porno is going to break out at any moment..etc.This is definitely not a high budget movie, but is better than a lot of B rated movies I've seen. It is a little corny at times, the story line definitely has holes in it, but I didn't feel like I was suffering through like I do with many horror movies. The plot is not all that unique and has a saw aspect to it, but I think it holds its own well.One of my favorite things about this movie is that the main characters, especially the female lead, aren't your average horror movie idiots. I especially like the fact that the main girl doesn't run around screaming like a chicken with her head cut off and doesn't fall into the normal weak minded hysterical female role that so many horror movies use.If you are used to high budget movies with lots of jumps, amazing acting, spotless plots, you probably won't like this. If you like horror movies but have watched all mainstream, B rated and even the C rated horror movies (is that even a thing) that you can find, you probably well at least be semi entertained with this one. And again, as a warning, I watch a lot of horror movies so these days my ratings aren't always about how wonderful the movie itself is, but how it compares to all the other ones I have watched and how much I did or didn't feel like I wasted my time. This may not be a accurate representation of high expectation audiences.

It's like Saw in a way. From the looks of it, there can be a part 2 if it isn't already one. It's predictable, but not unbelievably predictable. I enjoyed it as a 3.5 to 4 star. If you like scarry, but not too scarry, this is good. You have to see the bonus scene. Thank me later. Lesson that should be taken away is...if someone is trying to kill you and you get the upper hand, kill them. Then kill them again! Make sure they can not come after you. Even if you have never killed before, it's never too late to learn. Principal should have been beat to death with that desk. IJS!

This movie isn't bad at all. In fact, I found it interestingly original. I was even surprised it was a SyFy original movie because it surely didn't give me that impression watching it. The film has really redeeming qualities. The investigation of what people are capable of when they are pushed to the brink is rich with possibilities. It has great moments that make it worth watching. I don't think I'd watch it again, but I didn't mind it. By the way, stay tune after the credits.

This movie was worth watching. It gave the insight into one man's twisted view of revenge. Some of the characters were weak , devoid of self-esteem and no self-survival skills. I thought it was well acted by the young couple matching wits with this deranged man. It had a beginning, a plot and a decent ending. It separated the weak from strong.

Leider sieht man diesen Film die Low Budget Produktion an. Muss aber zugeben das mir die Story recht gut gefallen hat. Doch leider hält er das Versprechen"Ganz im Stil von Saw" überhaupt nicht, wie es auf der Rückseite versprochen steht. Dieser streifen spielt zwar mit den Urängsten des Verhungerns, doch leider nimmt man das den Schauspielern nicht immer ab. Die Story selbst ist nicht schlecht, man hätte sie nur ein wenig besser umsetzten können. Aber alles im allen kann man sich den Film anschauen. Das Mediabook finde ich auch recht schön gestaltet. Aber ob der Preis gerechtfertigt ist muss jeder für sich entscheiden.
