Nice culture, works well
made a 5-gallon steam beer with Breiss Pilsner malt extract by building a 1 liter primary culture with the yeast. Came out super crisp, fresh beer. Love it.

California Common here I come... again
I'm a fan of Mangrove Jack's yeasts and this one did not disappoint. Brewed up a California Common, based on Jamil's recipe and it came out great. Expect a long slow ferment out of this one (and if doing a full 5G, I suggest a couple packs of yeast).

Potent Yeast!!! Great service!
The yeast arrived in less than a week as promised, very happy. The yeast itself is 100% viable, the stuff is perking away busily in my fermenter, in a month or so I’ll have a taste. So far so good Thank you!!! Update—- Delicious beer, a bit hazy as I haven’t cold conditioned it yet but hopefully will clear soon. Yeast did not settle out of suspension as well as I’d hoped during fermentation. I usually don’t secondary but may need to in the future with this yeast strain.

Misleading to call it lager yeast
I was hoping to make a true lager, and didn't find out until AFTER that this yeast is actually Saccharomyces cerevisiae which is ALE yeast and not lager yeast which is Saccharomyces pastorianus. I finished my fermentation, but had to go out and buy actual lager yeast because I wanted to make a real lager.

Will not order again.
I have ordered twice nice now and out of all the packages I have order 2/3 of them have had holes in them. I will find another place to order. I like Mangrove Jack’s Californian Lager.
