Fun and frustrating!
It is impossible, so don’t buy this expecting to complete this straight away! Hours of in for my child, who completed the first Rubik’s cube and desperately wanted to get this. Well packaged, lovely gift, for problem solver, or fidgeter alike!

Impossible
Very nice! It is imposible, really!! If the tradicional is easy for you, this is a good challenge.

Very expensive for novelty
(see the bottom for a TL;DR) Firstly I want to point out: the description says "iridescent" but the cube isn't made using iridescent printing, its made using lenticular printing. Personally I dislike how lenticular printing feels so I dont particularly like using the cube. (lenticular printing is used in those '3D' pictures that move based on how you look at them) The cube itself is harder than the average cube, but has "anchors" which are colours that dont change, through these you can learn the algorithms, there's more to it and takes a lot more thinking than the average cube. The build quality is fine, the same you'd expect from any rubiks cube, the colours are well protected since they're covered by the plastic from the lenticular printing. The cube is very much a novelty thing, for me it has become a decoration on a shelf because looking at it for a while bothers my eyes and i dont like the feeling of the printing. I use normal cubes often and even have cubes that have different textures for each colour but id for sure recommend a normal cube (and there's plenty of good cheap non-rubik's) over this one. In short: the cube is fine, but expensive for a novelty. I also personally dont like how it feels due to the printing used to get the effect. I'd recommend a normal cube.

Works those problem solving grey cells
Gets you rethinking the cube solutions. It's not impossible, but definitely hard work. You think you are almost there, then realise its impossible to solve the last layer without moving or swapping a couple of pieces in the first or second layer that you thought you'd completed OK! Some edges look the same which ever way you look at them, or match other edges. It's only when you think it's mostly complete that it's more clear to see they don't quite change colour in the same way as their neighbours. Definitely recommend mastering the regular 3x3x3 first. Tried this cold the first time, honestly took me a couple of hours. Once you understand the pairs, it's quicker, but very unlikely to be as quick as a regular cube. You really need to look closely at what you're doing.

Interesting take on a classic.
I’m looking forward to seeing my Rubiks genius nephew tackle this one!

Even though it is very difficult to solve, knowing that it's also a Rubik's brand too, I already knew the quality wasn't going to meet my personal preference but what made it stand out is how it performs with the difficulty, very much would recommend it to others that wants a good challenge
