Silicone Reusable Glue Brush Woodworking, Hobby, Crafts 1" Tip

Best invention ever! So easy to clean after it dries and perfectly reusable!

After using cheap disposable brushes from a local discount tool supplier for my glue ups over the last year or so I finally broke down and got this glue brush. One of the frustrating things with the cheap brush was that it was constantly leaving bristles behind as i was spreading glue. It defeats the purpose of using a brush if you have get your fingers covered in glue to get bristles out. This silicone brush solved all of the problems I was having with the cheap brushes. The surprising part to me was how well it spread the glue. It gave me a nice even spread on the wood almost like a roller. Additionally the clean-up was quick and painless. The glue came right out under a little warm water. I opted for the Sili-Brush over other similar products mostly because of the price. This brush was significantly cheaper than other product offerings and delivered the same results. Great product!

So this has a great concept. Glue won’t dry on it too easily and when it does it is easy to peel it off. However, just know that your brush will EAT the glue on the bristles. It’s like the glue goes between the bristles and gets absorbs there. After you spread glue on your project and squeeze the bristles, you’ll see a lot of the glue is there, that’s my only complaint.

I've always just used a finger or rag for spreading wood glue on projects. Picked this up to see if it would help on a new project, but not sure how well it would clean up. It was awesome. The silicone bristles help distribute the glue really evenly and cleanup was super easy. If you let glue dry on the brush, just pull the dried hunk off and it pulls off easily - looks like a honeycomb! Super easy to clean! It's a bit overpriced - but worked well for me.

I use this for bookbinding and it is fantastic! I really couldn’t recommend it more for this purpose, it spreads the glue evenly and gives the glue a texture that allows paper to stick to board better, not to mention it keeps you from using too much glue and warping your paper/ fabric. The bristles do pull off if you’re too rough when peeling off the glue, but even without a bristle or two it works the same as before. I’m interested in seeing how it fares with paper cement but PVA glue comes off super easy.

This is one of those simple tools that I didn’t think I needed until I actually used it. For small woodworking glue-ups, it makes a noticeable difference. The silicone head spreads glue really evenly and you don’t get that mess you usually end up with from disposable brushes or just using your fingers. I mainly use it for tighter joints and smaller projects where control matters more than speed. What makes it useful is that the glue doesn’t stick to it permanently. Once it dries, you can just peel it right off the silicone, so cleanup is super easy. That alone makes it way better than throwing away brushes every time. It’s not anything fancy, but it’s one of those shop tools that just quietly makes your workflow cleaner and less frustrating. Especially for small glue-ups, it gives you better control and less waste. Overall, simple but really effective—exactly what you want in a tool like this.

Works great

It works alright applying the glue- a little too "loose" bristle-wise, but gets the job done. The part that I'm glad for is that it's very, very easy (and satisfying) to remove the dried up glue from the bristles. Slips off in parts, once completely dried on there. I appreciate the scraper, too. Will be buying a couple more to have around for projects.
