Relatively easy installation if you have a fuel tank access panel otherwise I'd leave this one to professionals. My car already had a fuel tank access panel which made this way easier for me. I was able to swap fuel pumps in about an hour but I had a fuel pump retaining ring removal tool and spare fuel line retaining clips so I didn't have to salvage the old ones. You'll have to cut your old harness off and splice 4 wires together but it's not difficult. I'm measuring exactly 58psi at the fuel rail (OEM spec) and the electric motor on this pump is about the same size and weight as the OEM motor so I figure it will perform as it's designed to across the RPM and throttle range. I was a little disappointed that the product image showed this having an internal strainer but the pump I received was the old OEM version with an external strainer. I pay attention to details and I think companies need to match their product to their photos. However, what I really care about is quality and longevity, not the aesthetic design of something sealed inside of my fuel tank. It definitely works, so hopefully this thing will last 100K+ miles which is why I picked this item over the much cheaper alternative.

Used this fuel pump on a 2000 SS Camaro. Wiring instructions did not come with fuel pump and wire color code was slightly different than factory color code. After some internet research, I got the pump installed and it worked great. I would purchase again.

What I received was not what was shown in the photos. The photos of this are of the new style with the internal strainer (sock). This is still a good pump, much better than all other stock style pumps except the new design - which can be purchased at a much higher price with the GM label (the GM pump is made by Delphi). In my opinion the new style with internal strainer is not worth so much more than this one. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the incorrect photo used in the listing.

1. No wiring instructions for new connector pigtail. Had to call Delphi customer support. 2. Pump is from China not Mexico as advertised. 3. New pump out of the box would not turn on (no motor hum at key on). Had 12.5V at connector (gray/black wires) consistently when key was on but no pump action. Pump miraculously fixed itself at some point after letting it sit exactly as I had left it for 30 minutes and now works consistently with car running. Will have to cross my fingers that it stays working now. 4. Last thing you want with all the work involved is a new pump that doesn't work or is not going to work consistently (No it is not the external connection).
