Insert the coffee holder and add 25grams of medium ground coffee. Don't pat it down too hard, just enough to fit it in. Then make sure the edges are clean before screwing on the lid. Then the key part is to place it on a medium to medium-low heat and wait about 10mins. It's not quick but the coffee comes out great. That should give you 2-3 espresso shots. I then add some hot water to the espresso to make an americano. Best I've made at home so far! **Q: Is this meant to have a hole in the centre of the lid? My previous smaller version doesn’t. Unfortunately it was so heavy it made my wrist hurt. The base is so wide unscrewing it is not easy (even though I have huge hands). I did not feel the top and base fitted each other as well as the aluminium version )made in Italy). I felt the handle looked too flimsy to hold such a big pot. The lid did not sit properly on the pot and some of the aluminium seemed to be scraped away. In all it went straight back. It’s a pity as the overall look is nice. And it might work well. Maybe this is better bought in person unless you have money to take a punt. --- Ended back with pot due to postal error. I kept on trying. it takes a lot of coffee to get there - but eventually it works. I did research to get it right- right from the start - so it is likely the pot just takes time to 'settle in'. Then it's possible to get a lovely froth. Hange in there.
