BIG BOOKS are the sound choice in verbs! The Big Red Book of Spanish Verbs makes it easy for you to find the word you need to know quickly and easily. Inside you will find 555 fully conjugated verbs, current idioms and expressions for each verb, extended usage examples for the Top 50 verbs, 2,500-plus verbs cross-referenced to conjugation models, and much more. Review: Great for the Usage section - The Usage section does a great job of putting all these verbs in context with their Spanish meaning and usage. That part is super useful and I highly recommend the book for that. To the downside the book is massive because much of the book is huge tables of conjugations for each verb. For Dar or Ir or very irregular verbs ok fine but for nearly all verbs there are only a few patterns and conjugations and itโs a bit repetitive. Review: Very Good - The book has the goods as far a the conjugation of all the verbs. It does that very well and that alone is worth more than the price of the book. Add ons are examples of usage at the bottom of the page - neat. 50 of the highly used verbs also have a full page each written about them. Also a grammar section which is a bit of a tease, I would have liked a little bit more of an explanation of the tenses and moods. The short explanations are good and well written, but considering the size of the book, they could have been a bit more involved. Still this section is over 40 pages - there is just a lot ground to cover, I guess. The cd is alright. Much of it is multiple choice, where I would have preferred ยจfill in the blankยจ/flashcard sort of format. I scored about %70 on the diagnostic test by by just finding the person and number of the subject and matching it to the verb ending - although I had no idea what most of the verbs meant, or even what tense or mood I was working with. Even though, I plan to work though the exercise to get a better understanding of the verb endings. The module that challenges you to pick out the difference in the two easily confused verb forms looks sweet.

Wonderfully helpful book!
I have studied Spanish on DuoLingo for over a year now. I think the hardest part so far has been verb tenses! I looked on Amazon and found this book in good used condition. The book and shipping were extremely reasonable. Got the book today and it's wonderful! So many verbs and so much conjugation! It's great!

Best Verb Book!
This has so much added information. The first 45 pages are about grammar for the tenses, simple, compound, progressive, commands, reflexive, etc. with examples on how to form and use them. Then comes a list of the most commonly used top 50 verbs. The body of book with the verbs is clear print and various example sentences to use them. The top 50 verbs all have an extra page with usage examples/ both Spanish and English. If you are going to buy a verb book, I would highly recommend this one over the other popular verb book.

Quick reference for many verbs, many tenses
I am learning Spanish. I find this book very good for finding the tenses and conjugations of verbs as I learn them. I also find the first section that describes the many tenses very helpful. It helps with questions I have on the proper uses. Which is great when I am trying to learn the compound tenses (Perfect tenses) . Actually this is the second copy I've gotten as I have used the first one I received so much I really needed a new one.

ยกFantastico!
Like several similar titles, this book has conjugation patterns for every regular and irregular verb. What sets it apart is the terrific CD-ROM which comes with it. The CD-ROM contains hundreds of exercises which you do on the PC--many of which are for listening comprehension. There are also sound files for phrases using the "Top 50" verbs which can be downloaded to make your own audio CD as well as put on a MP3 player. All of the phrases are marked on the page for the particular verb. There is an amazing amount of material in the book/CD-ROM combo--as much as in many programs which are far more expensive and far less convenient to use. It is the best verb book out there for that reason.

Good, but...
If you want to learn Spanish the best book is called "Madrigal's Magic Key to Spanish by Margarita Madrigal" -It's Perfect! I wasted a lot of money on other things before finding the Madrigal book. Get it and you'll be speaking and reading faster than you can imagine. Ah, but what of The Big Red Book of Spanish Verbs? It's exactly what it claims to be so I can't mark it down. It lists all the verbs but offers no pronunciation, which could be a problem for some. It's more for Academia and is also quite heavy and not suited for travel. However, this book could be a handy backup after you've learned enough Spanish for basic conversation and just need a reference guide to help you move beyond the basics. Otherwise I don't suggest you buy it.

Essential book
This book is essential in helping me learn Spanish. It is a great reference. The paper is kind of inexpensive feeling but what counts is what is on the page, not what it is made of. Great content and easy to use.

Highly recommend
Iโm a relative beginner with just over a year of Duolingo under my belt. I have a lot of gaps that need filling in for verb conjugations and tenses. This book has been superb for me so far. There is a lot of information at the beginning of the book explaining the layout and going in to more detail about the tenses and regular/irregular verbs..Itโs still baby steps for me as I learn the tense names and when to use what, but itโs all in here. Each verb page also has examples at the bottom of the page which I find useful. The paper feels a little on the cheap side, but a heavier quality would add to the weight of this large book, and it is easy to flick to the page you need. I think it as an essential tool in learning Spanish.
