I tried to resist this one for a long time, thinking I didn't need yet another knife. It was on a small discount so I finally caved in. Glad I did, this knife is very nice. I've recently spent a similar amount on Ozark Trail knives thinking that they are a decent bargain, but this feels much better quality at the same price. If you handed me this knife, told me to check out how nicely it opens and closes, and told me it was a sixty dollar knife, I'd be pretty impressed. At less than one third of that cost, it's incredible. This knife flicks open so nicely with the thumb stud. Using the thumb stud used to be my least favorite method, I figured on a knife like this I'd be pulling back on the bar lock to flip it open, but no, this thumb stud feels great. It comes down to the detent force, using the thumb stud isn't fun if the knife holds shut with either too little or too much force. This has the perfect amount, and there's such a satisfying sound when the blade fully opens and locks. Pulling back on the lock to close the knife requires a little more force than I have felt on other knives, but that's a good thing suggesting that the springs holding tension on the lock are a decent quality/thickness and hopefully won't break over time like I've seen on some knives. The blade is centered. Nothing rattles. The bearings are smooth. The scales have grip without being harsh. It's blade is decently sharp, nothing shocking. I never use pocket clips but this one seems decent. The overall weight is perfect, not so light to feel cheap but not heavy to where it's too much to carry. I fidget with my knives a lot and again I can't overstate that this is one of the best opening knives I have. When you can get a knife like this at this price, it makes you reconsider both cheaper and more expensive knives. Why go any cheaper for worse materials or feel, and why go more expensive when everything here is great.

This is very good quality, budget friendly EDC knife. The blade is very sharp and polished - looks great. Scales are not flimsy at all. I especially like the slide lock as it is easy to use, doesnt hurt the finger/thumb after repeated use, and slides pretty effortlessly. It is my first Schrade knife and wont be my last.
