All Purpose Cement Quart (O22721)

You will not find a better glue on the market for gluing leather then this product right here. Hands down, without a doubt, the absolute best leather glue on the market. If done properly, you will separate the grains of the leather before you are able to rip the glued area apart. There is a strong (and I want to emphasize the word strong) odor coming from those glue that will make you high if you are in a closed in area.

I’ve used Barge All Purpose Cement for several DIY projects, including shoe repairs, costume construction, and bonding leather to rubber — and it’s been excellent every time. The bond is incredibly strong and long-lasting. Once it cures, it holds up really well, even under stress and movement. The application is easy with the included brush inside the lid, and a little goes a long way. Just make sure to follow the directions for best results — applying to both surfaces, letting it tack up, then pressing together. It dries quickly and creates a flexible, professional-looking finish. This cement is a staple in my craft and repair toolkit now. Highly recommended for anyone working with leather, rubber, fabric, or other tough-to-glue materials! Great for cosplay

This is great stuff. You have to apply it correctly (to both surfaces and let it dry a bit before joining them, and then hammer the seam), but it is great. I use it for joining leather in bagpipe bags and it results in truly air-tight bags. The leather itself will tear before the glue separates. I rivet the bags I make to prevent the leather tearing, but it is the cement that makes the seam. The built-in brush is worthless for anything but the crudest of jobs and I would recommend breaking it off because it just tends to create a mess. Note that you will want to get some of the solvent for it because this stuff is impossible to clean up without the solvent. In addition, if you are not going to use it all quickly, you will need the solvent to top it off when it starts to harden in the can. Also, use it in a well-ventilated area or outdoors. Toluene is not something you want to mess with in a confined space.

This is the best glue I’ve used to fix my sneakers . I walk a lot and in weather with a lot of water . I’m able to repair the broken bottom without it coming apart again .

Many craftsmen swear by Barge Cement, and justly so. For shoe makers, it is the Best, with little disagreement. For experienced leather workers, well, just say it is the 'go to' product when you want a bond that is permanent and waterproof. the two pieces won't come apart! However, there are some situations where you might need to reposition two pieces befor it sets, and here is where another product will provide a better 'fit' for your project. However, when it comes to gluing two pieces of leather (and other materials) together permanently, I have found no better product! I onlky gave 4 stars because of the repositioning need. Great Product!

We did much research before ordering this product. The normal "GO TOO's" didn't give us much faith in their product. Did 3 shoes with this cement and went on vacation. Used all 3 pairs normally, hiking, walking and "bang" around. THIS CEMENT WORKS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!! We have more shoes to glue and the glue will probably work on our other projects. I know it took a while to leave this review but wanted to test the results thoroughly. Follow the instructions and you can't go wrong. You may have some extra glue showing after sealing but it really doesn't matter with the shoe staying together......

it is what is described. Prove quality glue for leather work and general purpose glueing. Will last a while, come with its own applicator brush.
