The last Garmin watch I purchased was in 2020, so this was a huge upgrade despite not being the latest model (i.e the fenix 8), and I was pleased to snag it at a discounted price with rapid delivery. Because of the many permutations of the Fenix (sizes in X, reg, and S features: solar, sapphire), be sure to understand your options when purchasing.

I had been using a samsung watch, but when I read this can get my texts, calls, and notifications I was excited!! Works better with my phone. Tracking activities is so easy also!! Glad I switched

It's my third Garmin. Had the 235, the 245 music and now bought this because I wanna start doing some open water swimming. Could have bought the 745 or the 945 but since I have a small wrist those wore oversized. This Fenix 7s I can wear it to work or going out with friends.

Once Garmin figures out how to add text communication via iPhone or Samsung then maybe this would be worth it. Until then, you’re better off using Gaia for maps and the satellite function on the iPhone for emergencies. Stick with a garmin in touch mini for emergencies. Returned……

I only bought this watch because I needed an upgrade to support my Stryd pod. This is such a hilarious expenditure but I was feeling confident at the time so I went for it. Garmin has the most bizarrely confusing and unnecessary breadth in product line. They need 3, maybe 4, watches but somehow they keep adding more and more and more to the point that there are maybe three dozen options. This is really silly and makes it difficult for the layman to understand what he should be buying. Anyway, even the smaller version of this watch is hilariously bulky. They make the claim of something like 14 days battery life--not even close. Apparently it's 12-14 days if you disable all features. Even for basic running mine drains pretty easily getting closer to one week battery life. I thought that all this extra tech would be an improvement over the 4S or whatever super cheap basic Garmin I had--nope! When traveling long distances the watch still gets confused for the first activity, just the same as cheaper Garmins, and will muddle or lose the majority of the GPS portion of an activity. The HR monitoring is more-or-less identical to cheaper models. If you are using a foot pod and want to design a custom UI... this screen is tiny. Even with power-pace-time-distance I need to really inspect it to see what's going on since the screen is relatively small and there's no way to actually fine tune font sizes or anything. I'm sure there are some cool features here but with this price tag you had better be sure that you're going to use them. As a premium running watch it's a disappointment.

It was a gift to my girlfriend. She likes running but also workouts. She likes very much workouts in this watch. Also, running functions are awesome, especially the heart efforts indicator. This allows to descend the effort at right time especially in hot summer time. Numbers of workouts availables for download and video animations of exercices are very helpful and motivating.

Great for all activities, even sleeping. Battery last for days!

I just replaced my Fenix 5s after seven years with the 7s. I love it. Very user friendly and so many features. I love that I can broadcast my heart rate and it will connect to Zwift. Having heart rate metrics for swimming is a huge improvement. I was looking at the Venu 3, but seeing that the Fenix still uses the rugged straps (clip on instead of a tiny pin) I spent the extra money. It’s very rugged. I also actually like the insights and morning report. I am very attached to this watch!

I am extremely happy with my watch! It’s exactly as it was described and such a great upgrade from my Apple Watch! I love that the battery last much longer than the Apple Watch! Such a great investment
