Consistent in size and quality
Aa of this review I have purchased this item 16 times. I find it to be consistent in size and quality for most purchases. Sometimes the wood has come a little warped but not all boards in the order. Thinner boards like this are easier to flatten and one or two warped boards in an order here or there is acceptable. Compared to other companies I've purchased from this company has been the most consistent. Wil continue to purchase for laser cutting.

Great quality! Flat! Less sanding required!
I don't leave a lot of reviews, but we had bought some of this wood, then couple months later gone back to some use up other wood we had gotten from a different vendor and the difference was very obvious to us.. so I came back to compliment this wood! This wood lays flatter for laser cutting, we don't usually even have to pin it down. We usually only have to sand it once before vs other wood seems to need a before and after sand. Consistent color for all the boards. It is a little thinner than other wood we have gotten, but that only matters if you are making things with slots, so you might just have to adjust your design slightly (not a big deal in my opinion- worth it for the other positives). Great product! And we will be repeat buyers! Fast shipping! And good price! 😊 So glad we found this!

poor quality
I have ordered this product multiple times over the last year-and with the rating B/BB, i expect a few flaws here and there, maybe a patch on some sheets. This last bundle, 8 of the 20 sheets have a patch-and it's a strange patch, not the normal oval. The remainder of the 20 all had what looked like grease stained into the wood. I make small items with this wood to sell. I am actually shocked, because the quality has normally been fairly good-but this was awful. It seemed like someone grabbed all the really awful pieces and made a box out of them, and sold as normal. Shame!! I looked for a way to contact seller-but was unable to locate one, so am putting in review. Hopefully it is seen by the company. I had just ordered another box before i opened this one, so I hope it will be the better quality that i've come to know. If not, you can keep it.

Laser cuts ok for plywood
I got this for use with my K40 laser cutter. It works pretty well... mostly. To give some background, I had really mixed results with the Birch plywood at Home Depot - one piece would cut and then another one wouldn't. I picked up the Woodpeckers wood specifically for laser cutting because I wanted consistency. Piece-to-piece appearance is pretty consistent in the veneer, and the measurements are within 1/16" per piece. The problem I'm having (and the reason for 4 stars) is that certain spots on each piece just don't cut as well as others. For example, if I cut a straight line across a 12" span, probably 90% of the line will cut perfectly, and then there will be random spots where the laser doesn't get through. I think this is due to inconsistencies in the glue and/or pulp density throughout the board. It's relatively easy to touch up later since the uncut thickness is typically quite thin, but it's still annoying in comparison to cutting acrylic or actual hardwood. My favorite wood to cut is still 1/8" pure basswood (not plywood), which cuts much faster and more cleanly than this plywood. Also note that there is some warping in the pieces, so they won't lay flat on your bed unless you clamp them or steam press them back into flatness. Note for other K40 users: I'm using overkill settings to cut this stuff, and still getting the occasional uncut patches as noted above. 75% power @400mm/min.

Warped wood
Been ordering from this vendor for few years, the beginning was great, wood flat and very easy to engrave. For about a year and some wood has been warped really bad, very hard to engrave. Besides wood warping, wood is good quality

These sheets are top notch quality. They are cut square and are packaged well to protect from any damage during shipping. They lay perfectly flat - no warps or twists. I recommend them and will buy again when I run out.
