good quality- only one of its kind
So I searched high and low for a locking replacement handle for this cabinet on my Sun Tracker boat. You would not think it would be that touch to find, but it was. First I ordered an all crhome one which looked right but turned out to be wayyyyy too small for the existing hole. This one is supposed to fit a 2-3/8" to 2-1/2" hole. My hole is probably closer to the 2.5 inches so this one isa very loose fit, but using the rubber seal washer from the old one, it allowed me to crack down the backing nut for a tight, waterproof fit. The quality looks good and it should work fine... but for the high price of $41, you would think TH Marine would include two keys. But no.... you get just one key with this s.o.b. - I can hardly wait to see what the locksmith charges me for a duplicate for what I'm sure he waill call a "specialty key." Shame on TH Marine - a second backup key might have cost them 4c. Backup on a boat???? Ya think????

Just pay attention to make sure its in its most secure direction
Far more comfortable to use the half circle originals. Security is good. Took about 2 hours to install all 8 of them. Pretty happy!

Found perfect replacement
Very good quality and finish and look works great.

Poor quality resembles Perko but not a replacement
Bought this to replace a Perko on a bass boat rod box. Very weak poor design. I am certain it can be defeated with just a simple flat head screw driver or pair of pliers. If you are wanting to protect valuable items this is not the lock to use. Probably all such locks can be breached with enough effort, but this one is weak beyond the pale. Perko locks lie flat with the surface, locked or unlocked. This one in the unlock position has an annoying bolt sticking up about 3/8" above surface. Perko replacement it is not. Have gotten in the habit (thank goodness) of unpacking things carefully so if needed they can be repacked like new. Got it today. Tried to install in old Perko hole. Will be returning it tomorrow.
