What does fast degrading mean, and how should I dispose of the placemats?

Great question!  Our disposable placemats are made with D2W so they break down much more quickly in the open environment, and will therefore not accumulate in the oceans or leave behind microplastics or toxic residues.  D2W plastic is not designed for backyard composting, so please place your discarded placemats in your recycling bin or with your regular trash.

Do your mats fit airplane trays or is the adhesive too big to fit?

Great question!  The short answer is that if you run into a tray that is smaller than the placemat, it's easy to just wrap the edge of the placemat under the tray and then use the adhesive to stick to the bottom of the tray.  The long answer is that it depends on the airline since tray sizes vary so much.  The average tray table is 16.5" x 10.5" which means you'd have a little extra placemat - so, you'd just fold under and stick.

What are the dimensions of the mat??

The dimensions for THEO's Mats are 47" x 29."  With minimizing waste a big focus for us, we designed the mats to be extra wide but not too deep.  Make sure to place the back two legs of your little one's high chair towards the back end of your THEO's Mat (just like you see in the photo).  Putting a highchair in the middle of any splat mat is never recommended because babies rarely (if every) throw food behind them (unless they are a future professional athlete).  Less waste + Less cleanup.  :)

Can you color on these?

Like any silicone surface, you probably could use a magic marker on it, but unless permanent marker, it will wipe off. It's not really meant for coloring, but maybe you have a cute idea to decorate it! Not sure exactly what you mean by coloring it I guess. I use it on our dining room table like a placemat, so it gets wiped down or washed after almost every meal.
