Happy kitten, happy Kittymama!
I just adopted a 9 week old kitten from the local animal shelter and was given a few cans of this brand as something he had been eating. When I ran out, the local pet supply store didn't have it, so I bought Royal Canin's "Mama and Baby Cat" formula which my vet recommended and which he seemed to like at first. Having 5 other cats, I've noticed kittens are hungry and typically not that picky, but it became clear that he wasn't as interested. He was eating less at a time, and was distracted more easily. I happened to stash one of the Merrick cans in my purse to show the vet what he had been eating (a question always asked) and had forgotten about it. When I discovered it a day ago, I gave it to him and the interest was back - to the extent that he was eating both what was in the bowl and then nosing around the can for more. I know all cats are different, and works for one of mine is a definite no-go for another, but this was a hit for my tiny one and something I'll keep in stock.

Great quality
My kittens absolutely love this brand of food! They are so healthy with shiny coats, onky negative is the price significantly increased since I purchased last month! To the store I go!

Good quality. But...
We switched to this brand about a year ago when the brand we had been using for the entirety of our pets lives, Whole Earth Farms, was discontinued. Our cats and dogs have always been indoor and outdoor pets and during the time we used Whole Earth Farms fleas and ticks were a non-issue. But when we switched to another brand it was crazy. We fed them one other, very expensive brand before going with Merrick and Merrick helped with the fleas but they are still an issue. I found out that the company that makes Merrick also made Whole Earth Farms so I don't know why they stopped making it. But I saw somewhere that it may be coming back. If so we will likely be switching back. Otherwise, this is a good brand and I would continue using Merrick. Also, we only do wet food if one of ourpets need it for some reason. Otherwise they eat the dry food.

Used by our local kitten coalition for their babies
I bought this for our local kitten coalition from their wish list. I have never met the people involved or the kittens, but I know there are dedicated people who are a part of it who do what they can for mother cats and their kittens to give them the best start in life and get them to good homes. I have seen pictures of the little cuties who are beautiful and healthy. I have no doubt that since they feed this to their kitties, it is a food they believe in to provide the necessary nutrition for those growing babies to thrive.

My kittens loved it
I adopted two brother kittens from a rescue out of Mexico (Balam Foundation) and they were feeding them this brand kitten food so I kept them on the same for a bit and mixed with the hard food that I ended up switching them to. But I do still have some cans left and occasionally treat them to some wet food mixed in. Had no issues with the delivery of it neither. At first I thought they only gave me the 12 that you can see but the second set of 12 is under it hidden.

Kitten loves it and I love knowing that he's getting the best
I have been feeding this to my kitten since he joined my family. He and his 4 siblings were rescued by a friend when they were only a few days old. They started them on the Merrick kitten food as soon as they were weening them from the bottles. Our friends are still in touch with all their rescued kittens people who adopted them. We are the only ones who have kept our little guy on the Merrick wet kitten food and he's in the best health. His coat is thicker, he is larger and more muscular than any of his siblings male and female.

Kittens love but gives diarrhea & vomiting.
We just got over diarrhea with 3 cats on prescription foods. I SLOWLY adjusted this into ONE of their diets. He was great for 3 days. Until he wasn't. I woke up to diarrhea & litter all over my carpet & a poopy mess on a Mainecoon tabby furry bum and mashed in his paws. Kitten keeps vomiting. (No parasites found by vet)Not overly impressed with the use of flax as omega source instead of salmon or menhaden fish oil.Kittens LOVE (smells disgusting)...but they love almost anything edible. Unfortunately, we are back to the Hill's Science I/D to resolve the diarrhea this is causing ๐

Formula changed? Kittens refuse to eat it.
This is the second time I purchased this. It was on sale. My kittens happily ate all of the last box but this time they refuse. Something has changed between the last order and this one. Even if they are really hungry, they refuse to eat it. About half the cans in the box were delivered dented as well.
