Electric Empanada Maker Machine with Dough Cutter & Nonstick Plates

I don't like the fact that after cooking for 8 minutes the center is still like raw dough, and the cinnamon sugar mixture will not stick to them. because they are so dry, it's easy to use, but don't like the raw center. maybe another recipe will do better

I bought this to create a fun dessert for our family 'Mexican Night' buffet. The mailman dropped it off and we literally took it out of the box and plugged it in. It heated quickly as we made the dough using the included cookbook. It was so easy to use that my 12 year old made a dozen churros herself. We sprinkled them with powdered sugar and put into a warmer for later. They were very good! This unit is compact and stores easily. I have to admit I have never had a real churro, not even one from Epcot, so I can't really say if these are the best churros ever. However, if you're looking for some quick churros and not messing around with a vat of hot oil, these are pretty good. Empanadas next time!

I am very disappointed with this machine. I've only used it for the empanadas so far, but it crushes the empanadas while they are cooking. I had to cook the empanadas longer than the book said, and the ends were hard, and the middle caved in. I would not recommend anyone buying this product.

It's great. I bought this on impulse because i love churros and it's running joke between everyone I know that i'm obsessed with them. The churros you make will not compare to the fried churros but they're fun little things to make so you get what you buy right? The recipes it comes with aren't so great because I feel the empanada dough calls for an incorrect water to flour ratio, but you can use any recipe so that doesn't degrade the cooker quality. It starts heating up as soon as it's plugged in.(No power buttons or settings) After 8 minutes of being plugged in the little green light will come on denoting your food is done(par the recipe's requirements but of course you can do as you please.) I used this for an hour straight the first time to make empanadas then a few days later to make churros. I will say it's a bit of trial and error to get the proper amount of dough in because too much spill out and makes cleanup a hassle

I bought this for making empanadas. I did not like it because it only cooks two empanadas at a time and you can't put too much in the small empanadas as filling. Also the corn flour that is recommended makes them too doughy or hard. I realize it is faster to just make an empanada any size you want it and put a bunch in the oven to cook or frying pan.

At first I was wondering why I just had to buy this empanada maker. I have one of the old presses and cast iron skillet for doing it the old fashioned way; however, this little machine is easy to use and even easier to clean. I honestly think I've made more empanadas and churros since receiving it than I made in 40 years. I have even been experimenting with different types of fillings used in Chinese spring rolls and quite pleased with the results.

It’s super easy! I haven’t tried the churro part just yet. I used premise empanada discs who which was helpful, but it also works with molds that are included. Molds seemed pretty small but they’re actually the perfect size. It brown the empanadas nicely. I’ll definitely use it again to make quesadillas for the kids or hot PB&J’s.

Just the right size, can’t wait to use it. Looks well made especially for the price.

2 pin US plug... What is the point of selling this?

Item delivered just in its own box with the address label on it. Damaged. However when we opened it and checked it we wouldn’t have been able to use it anyway. The voltage is wrong for UK sockets and would be unsafe even if we used an adaptor. I would suggest this shouldn’t be sold anywhere but US.
