Easy to fill and clean
We loved this product so much, we bought 3! We have two for our chickens and one for our dog. Our lab is a messy drinker and she drinks a lot. This thing saved me time every week and since it's attached to the hose, she doesn't make a mess in the house. When it comes time to clean, simply turn the water off, wipe down, and turn the water back on! We love the automatic refill and it never leaks. We've had our dogs for a few years and had zero issues.

Durable, Hassle-Free Hydration for Our Animals!
This stainless steel automatic drinking bowl has been a total game-changer for our setup. The build quality is excellentโheavy-duty, rust-resistant, and easy to clean. It feels like itโll last for years, even with daily use outdoors. The hose connection was simple to install and works flawlessly. Water refills automatically as needed, so I no longer have to worry about checking the bowl constantly. Itโs perfect for our cats, dogs, and even the backyard chickensโeveryone stays hydrated without fuss. I also love that the bowl is deep enough to hold a good amount of water but not so large that it gets dirty quickly. Itโs a smart, low-maintenance solution that saves time and gives peace of mind. Highly recommend for any pet owner or small farm!

So far so happy, open questions
I just installed it and it seems to work perfectly. The installation was easy. At first the water only dribbled in, but that's because I moved the valve while cleaning it and didn't turn it back exactly as it was before. After fixing that the water flowed in fast and stopped when the bowl was a bit over half full. During installation I cut myself on the sharp metal edges in the back and underneath the protection, but these parts are mostly out of reach for the pets, so I'm not worried. I installed it outdoors, where the faucet is almost at ground level, the tube is about a metre long, so you'd need an extension to install it from a sink or sth. I like that the floater is hidden behind the metal flap, this way the dogs can't pull it out nor will they be frightened by the water spraying in. It holds a good amount of water, definitely enough for a big drink after playtime, anyway the idea is that there is a constant water supply. So far I'm happy with the purchase, I'll see what the future brings in regards of durability. I'd really like to know if the metal bowl is dishwasher safe though and I'm not sure if the plastic parts are food grade. Anyway a life saver for really hot days, when the dogs are home alone. Ball in the foto for size comparison. UPDATE I moved the bowl inside to avoid it becoming a wildlife fountain (and avoid infections from it). This brought up a few things: I came home to find a puddle around the bowl a few times, that's because the water can leak through the wallmount-holes in the back when the water level is too high and/or the bowl isn't exactly leveled. Since the bottom is curved it needs to be put on a stand to stay leveled. So far so good, easy fix, get a stand and turn the valve down. But for hygiene reasons and to avoid critters coming in for a drink I like to empty the bowl at night, clean it or a bit and let it dry till the next day. This brought me to realise that the valve is very sensitive and turning it upside down overnight will loosen it so the next day I came home to a puddle on the floor again. All in all: if you want to install it at the wall and outside is perfect but obviously can't be cleaned then. For inside use without fixed installment it's important to daily check the valves, connections and balances to avoid water dripping out through the back, sides, connections or by simple overflow. I'm still happy with it because this way I know my dogs will always have access to water. Maybe an inside version with flat ground would be nice. Also it might need some time for the dogs to get used to it, one of mine is afraid of the sound when water splashes in ๐ the other one is completely untroubled by it.

Solid buy, too many similar items on Amazon. Buy these.
So far so good. I hooked these up to large water reservoirs to keep livestock hydrated. They are heavy and feel like quality products. Getting the floats dialed in took some time, but was easy enough.

Not the best
I liked the idea behind this product, but from the moment I started the installation, I ran into issues. The bowl itself isnโt level, which prevents the auto filler from working properly. From day one, the hose connection was leaking, and no matter how tight I made the connection, it wouldnโt stop. (It has a gasket, so Teflon tape doesnโt help here.) I eventually gave up and lived with a small leak, but about a week later it got worse and now the auto filler wonโt shut off, flooding water everywhere. I consider myself pretty handy, so I know this isnโt user error. Unfortunately, Iโll be returning it and trying a different product.

Perfect for my newf
This is the perfect dog bowl for my Newfie! She is constantly drinking water and I was tired of replacing it multiple times a day. This connects with the hose and she can have as much water as she wants whenever she wants!

Major problems with cheap connections
It could be SO much better with just a few changes. They went dirt cheap with the connectors. The (completely inappropriate) quick disconnect was faulty. 1st off all its not needed for a permanently mounted water bowl anyway. They could save money by not having it! To make things worse they used cheapest fittings on the plant. Mine leaked at the quick connect right out of the box. I tightened the connections and it appeared to be better but after a few hours began spraying water. So I went to Loweโs to purchase a fitting to get rid of the unnecessary quick connection. Got home and realized the cheap connections are metric! Seriously??? The product description says is 3/4 and 1/2 which is not metric! False advertising. No one sells metric plumbing fittings! Absolutely unbelievable that they would stray so far from normal just to save a nickel. After 3 trips to hardware stores I finally decided to replace the cheap steel beaded hose with a standard 1/2 inch one. Problem was that it still wouldnโt fit on the metric plastic fitting at the float. So I wrapped the plastic fitting with plumbers tape and forced a SAE hose onto the fitting, stripping it into place until the rubber washer held. Itโs working for now but obviously temporary! I wish there were a way to leave worse feedback. Iโve spent more than the amount paid for the bowl just in repairs. Now for the poor design: -The bowl doesnโt have a drain hold. So you will have to scoop out the all the water just to clean the bowl. -Mounted in itโs normal position the bowl tilts downward at the front. Makes the water ride very close to the lip of the bowl which causes a mess every time the dog drinks from it. No float adjustment would correct this problem. I was able to correct it by placing wooden shims between the lower portion of the bowl and the wall. - Wall mount hardware. Another waste of money. Not applicable to most, if not all mounting situations. So plan on purchasing additional hardware. It could be so much better with just a little bit of common sense!

Great automatic water dish
Really well made, wish we bought this a lot sooner - simple to install. Just make sure you set it up in a shady spot as it will get too hot for your pooches to drink from in summer otherwise. Also remember to clean regularly, to avoid algae growth - including behind flap
