COUNT ME IN LOVING THIS CTX 3 GSD HOUSEHOLD
Well I took 45 mins and vacuumed using my 550$ animal 3 extra. I paid 550$ for it 3 years ago and thought oh wow, look at all the hair from our three German shepherds. Then today I set my prolux new CTX vacuum up, before I used it I spent 45 mins or more vacuuming really good with my Dyson and my sanitaire hand vac. Well I ran the CTX for 10 mins honestly, 10 mins. And looked at the water bowl and was like omg it’s full of sand and hair and god only knows what else. I did put in an eye dropper 1/4 eye dropper of my aromaplan clean house essential oil in the water bowl. The freshness of the house with the scent is simply amazing. But omg I am deep cleaning the whole house with my new CTX. Count me in for loving this CTX PROLUX. I can’t speak for the longevity but I will update as I go. Can’t speak for customer service but I will if I have to. The beauty of this machine versus my Dyson, there is no airborne dust. I can use it on everything. I did go to the company site and order the carpet cleaning head called the storm. And one of their battery stick vacuums as well. When you have 4 dogs 2 are long coated gsds, and one older gsd who sheds a ton and a little shitzu who drags in the sand and leaves, you need a good vacuum. The fact the air is noticeably cleaner makes my heart sing.

It really works!!
I’m amazed at how awesome this vacuum works! You can tell it’s well made! The pictures I posted is using the Prolux CTX only one time! What’s so crazy is that the day before I used my Prolux CTX for the first time- I vacuumed with my Shark (which I loved) and then used a Tineco Smart Pro carpet cleaner (btw, it stopped suctioning after that one and only use.) Anyway, I am very impressed and can’t wait to be able to use it some more when I have a few days to really see what all this Prolux CTX can do! If I had to choose anything to change it’d be the weight of the electric power head- but I understand why it’s kind of heavy is because of the tremendous power of the machine! I will say this, also, about the electric power head- it’s like auto propelled- like once you turn it on- you better hold on because it’s going to GO! My carpets felt so good on my bare feet and all the dog hair was gone!! This product really works!!

Power Head Attachment Malfunction
It is rare for me to compose a negative review on a product . I purchased this vacuum cleaner on June 10, 2024 and on October 3, 2024 the power head attachment wasn't working. It was difficult to find Prolux support, but finally succeeded. Only to learn, I needed to send the malfunctioning power head to Prolux and once I had proof of the tracking number, I needed to send the tracking number to Prolux, then Prolux would proceed to send me a replacement power head. In the interim, my electrician tested the power from the housing unit to the power head to assure the flow of power wasn't the issue. The next day, I contacted Prolux to advise the vacuum cleaner was under warranty - I had sent proof of purchase to Prolux - so why isn't a replacement simply being sent? Why should I have to pack and send the power head and prove the package was on the way via the tracking number? The response given, Prolux agreed and would immediately send a replacement which should have arrived approximately by October 11, 2024. Today I learned the approximate arrival of the power head would be October 16, 2024. With a malfunction of this product in such a short amount of time, I question the quality of this product and associated cost of the product. I had stated to Prolux, the ultimate solution would be for me to return the product and refund my money. Of course, this fell on deaf ears. Now I'm thinking, the product sold to me was a 'lemon' and I hold my breath, what else will go wrong. And Prolux knows, I am extremely dissatisfied. There is a money back guarantee within 61 days of purchase - seems that doesn't apply to Prolux products that obviously do not pass Quality Assurance. Essentially, DEFICIENT PRODUCT QUALTIY, INSENSITIVE support and customer service. So buyer beware - the price does not justify quality of the Prolux vacuum cleaner.

Amazing vacuum, worth every penny!
I'm not normally one to write a review but this time I just had to. I wish I'd thought to take pictures or videos, so sorry for that. I received my Prolux CTX and immediately had to try it out. In anticipation of the delivery I had used my Shark bagless vacuum not once but twice. I had an empty canister and had even cleaned the filter prior to using. On the 2nd time, not much was picked up by the Shark so I felt the carpet was good and clean. Imagine my surprise when using the Prolux CTX for the first time and it's was literally a canister of sludge and pet hair. So I kept going and going and going....I vacuumed the family room (the most used room) of my home a total of 11 times and was still getting stuff off the floor!! 🤢 11 times on a floor I thought was clean. I'm not a neat freak but do vacuum at least once a week and have a carpet shampooer we use regularly. I thought it totally disgusting and gross that we were living in this. We would notice that after vacuuming it would smell like dog, after using the carpet cleaner it would smell like wet dog. Now we know why all the dog and cat hair was just getting left in the carpet! My husband almost fell over at the price. I explained that if it didn't do what it says it does we'll just send it back. This isn't going anywhere, he's fully on board with keeping it. I only wish now I'd gotten the one with the shampooer. If you are on the fence about this, just get it you won't regret it except when you gross yourself out at what comes out of your "clean" carpet.

I didn’t buy this vacuum to be fancy and beautiful. I bought it to go to work.
I’ve owned this Prolux CTX canister vacuum for over a year now. I have some opinions. Let’s get the negatives out of the way first. 1.) This thing IS big and awkward. Some might even call it clumsy. (There’s really no finesse to this thing). Believe the reviewers when they say its somewhat awkward or clumsy because of its size. 2.) Because of its bulk and shape, there’s no real good place to store it. It will eat up a closet. There’s no hiding it in the corner. It is very conspicuous. It's like trying to hide a 5 gallon bucket on wheels with a hose that doesn't attach to it. 3.) Because it comes with a lot of extra attachments, there’s no place to fit all of the attachments. Only four will attach to the vacuum cleaner. For the rest, I had to find a large box and put that box up in my utility room. 4.) This vacuum is not especially convenient. It’s not like those vacuums that have a special hook on the wall that you can grab quickly and start vacuuming. In fact, you have to take the top half off of this vacuum to grab the water tub and fill it with water, and put it back together before vacuuming. 5.) This vacuum cleaner’s water tub must be cleaned (meaning rinsed) EACH TIME after it is used and then dried out. Often it may take up to 2 – 3 rinses before it is clean. (This doesn’t take that long to do, but it is a far cry different than most vacuums where you simply put it up when it is done.) 6.) Some might complain that the water is gross after you are done vacuuming, but I consider that a good thing, because that’s all that grossness that USED to be in your carpets. Besides, you don’t ever have to touch the dirty water. 7.) It may seem like a small thing but there is no automatic cord winding. You must manually wrap the cord like it's the 1970’s. All of these complains are TRUE of this vacuum cleaner. It’s also true that you can find other vacuums that are very sleek, svelte, attractive, that store’s easily and is conveniently ready in a snap without requiring setup first, ones that have the attachments stuck to the vacuum and auto windup cords and dry filters, BUT I wouldn’t buy a single one of those vacuum cleaners and that brings me to the good points of this vacuum. 1.) A vacuum cleaner has ONE JOB. Clean my surfaces; period! All of that other jazz is fancy but doesn’t mean a hill of beans if it can’t clean. And let me tell you; this thing CLEANS and it CLEANS DEEP. I didn’t buy the vacuum to look pretty, it is a work horse, that is all. Compared to this vacuum, the others might as well be fisher price toys. 2.) The hose attachment if VERY LONG and strong and designed to flex and twist without breaking. The electrical cord is also VERY LONG. This means that you will be able to reach farther than any other wired vacuum you know. 3.) While it is true that this vacuum doesn’t have finesse, the rollers on this vacuum are well constructed and have high quality bearings that are well greased meaning that they will roll completely silently, smoothly and dependably for years and yes, the canister will follow you faithfully without falling or tipping over. 4.) The vacuum head that this vacuum comes with is one of the best in the business. Very high-quality parts and rollers. The handle on the carpet head attachment doesn’t just get low for you to get low places, but it actually goes completely flat. I’m talking about rubbing-your-knuckles-on-the-floor flat. The motor on the carpet head attachment is so powerful that it is almost self-propelled. It’s also so powerful, that you can literally see sand jumping 2”-3” up off the carpet even before the carpet head attachment gets to it. 5.) The suction that this vacuum’s motor creates is extremely powerful. This vacuum will pull up dirt from deeper than most vacuums in the world. It’s no surprise because of how powerful the vacuum motor is. This is the primary reason I bought this vacuum. This is what makes it worth the money. When I say I want my floors clean, I MEAN IT. And this vacuum means it as much as I do. Typically, portable vacuum cleaners are the weakest, stick vacuums are next but still worthless, upright vacuums are stronger than stick vacs but just don’t cut it. Canister vacuums tend to be the strongest vacuums, but this canister vacuum is a level even beyond those. 6.) The fact that this vacuum uses water as a filter is a MAJOR advantage. It’s worth the extra minute to fill the tub up and rinse it out afterwards; and for several reasons. For one, water is free or cheap. Paper, HEPA and bag filters can cost tons of money. For another, this design works even better than a HEPA filter. It’s genius really; the vacuum pulls all of the dirt and dust under water. At that point, the dust is immediately wet and trapped and can’t float off into the air, because wet dust doesn’t float (I think one of the other wet vacuums uses that as their slogan but it's undeniably true.) 100% of the dust gets wet and 100% of the wet dust stays in the water and can’t make it into the air. That’s better than the 99.97% HEPA filter. Another advantage of water is that, as a filter medium, it doesn’t clog. Paper or bag or HEPA filters start clogging immediately as you use them and become increasingly ineffective because you're blocking more and more airflow. With water, it is equally effective when you start vacuuming as when you stop. Your airflow never decreases. Your water would literally have to stop being wet before it stops filtering. The proof is in the smell. Your nose can detect even small amounts of dust in the air. If you ever vacuum and you smell that dusty vacuum smell (you know the smell), that tells you dust has reentered the air and you are breathing it in. I have used vacuums with HEPA filters and I STILL smell that old dusty vacuum cleaner smell. Maybe parts on most vacuums aren’t properly sealed up, or maybe the HEPA filter doesn’t fit properly snug and air leaks around it, but for whatever reason, almost every other vacuum has that smell. This vacuum NEVER has that smell, EVER. It could literally be used to clean the air as an air purifier (although I wouldn’t recommend it because that powerful motor draws quite a bit electricity.) If you’ve ever emptied a normal vacuum cleaner, you always get a plume of dust that has now come back into your house and air, after you’ve worked so hard to clean it up. There’s no way to avoid it. I used to empty my old vacuum outside but the wind would blow the dust back onto me and my clothes and when I brought the canister inside, it would kick off more dust from the edges of the empty canister if I ever bumped into anything. The only time the dust would stop kicking up is when I… rinsed the canister with water. Proving that water stops floating particles. With this vacuum all the dust is already wet, so no kick up of dust, no smell. Even when you empty it. 7.) This vacuum comes with a TON of attachments. They might prove troublesome to figure out where to store them, but when it comes time to use them, they are VERY useful and you will be very glad that you had them. I like the dryer attachment that can get lint out of the clothes dryer or around narrow corners that were formerly unreachable. I also like that they included a second (blue) hose that can be used with attachments to clean up wet messes. In conclusion, this vacuum is more like the pickup truck of vacuums. Not pretty, kind of clunky, but powerful and will get the job DONE. Other vacuums are more like a Honda Civic, sure they’re cute and pretty and they’ll carry your groceries, but nobody is hauling anything in them and let’s not pretend they are going to tow much weight either. Sure, there’s a few headaches you would have to deal with when using this vacuum cleaner, but I think it’s worth it if you want the best clean you can get.

Clean house and clean the indoor air!
I really like this machine. The water filter works great! I vacuum our house about once a month or so - we had no idea! It's only about 1,300 square feet, minus baths and kitchens, so less than that carpet-wise. The first time I used it, we had only been in our house about a month or so, and at half-way through the vacuuming, I stopped to clean the water basin. It was full, literally full of doggie and kitty hair! I pulled it all out and threw it in the trash and then cleaned and refilled the basin. The second half of the house was just as productive. The second time I used it was about six weeks later. Same thing. Full basin about half-way through the house. Cleaned it out, refilled, and finished the house with similar results. We had never gotten this much hair using the old vacuum. It makes me wonder what is being left behind when those cannister type and stand-up vacs are being used? Plus, note, when turned on, there is no "puff of dust" coming out of the exhaust or the bag! So, I tried the attachments on our sofa and couch, as well as the chairs. It really brought the color back! Both our dog and cat are fairly short-haired, so it's not easy to see the hairs. But this machine got it all! I really like this machine, well, you know, as far as machines go, especially vacuums. I would encourage anyone on the fence about it to just jump off and dive in - the water is what makes it work so well!

Good... not great... but still testing it
Received this vacumme quickly... did all the research... this is the inky one with a lifetime warranty... so here we go 1: like that it's smaller and reasonably light weight 2: having an issue with the power vacume and attchments... it all hooks up and yes it's powerfull... HOWEVER power head cuts on and off... and yes I have cked that's its hooked up right... thought maybe it was getting hooked and needed ro change carpet height. Did that and it works better but sill cuts off some (not the base just the power wond for the vacume attachment) 3: I like that I can unhook and leave the electric cord and vacume attachment up stairs and only carry base part down to attach to other hose and sweep clean downstairs (carpet is only up-stairs) 4: its a little crazy and confusing to set it all up and figure out what each attachment will do but once I got the hang of the how tools it was easy! 5 I LOVE THE WATER FILTER however I don't think it's as strong as the rainbow... and it's not as easy to empty and clean as the rainbow... I don't like having to unhook to empty... of that design can change to empty water easier that would be perfect! All in all I'm giving it a 3 cause I need to play with it a bit more... Buying it thru Amazon give me to peace of mind to fully test it and free return it IF I need to... which I hope I won't! I did register it right away so if I do keep it it will hopefully be easy to replace anything that stops working. *Things to improve on.... Vacume power not cutting out...weird Maybe make it easier to clean vacume attachment and electric tube... Not quite the rainbow... but better then a upright "old school" system... not sure if its worth the price yet... gonna give it 30 days of using it every other day and see if I notice a big difference in how much it's cleaning and keeping pet hair picked up... 🙃

Great on my deep pile carpet
This is the best vacuum I have owned by a large margin. I have a QuantumX upright which has sold me on water filtration vacuums. It does a pretty good job but this Prolux far surpasses it. I have 3 mini Aussies that live in the house and produce a lot of hair and bring in dirt through the doggie door. I love the no doggie odor with the water filtration and the ease of operation. The power head and suction raise the knap on my deep pile carpet making it feel almost new. There is a learning curb to get to the most efficient way to operate but that is the way with all things. I hope I am this happy a year from now but so far I am very impressed.
