I'm not left handed, but my son is. After watching him struggle to use my scissors, I went ahead and got these for him and now he cuts like a pro. Great for the leftie that you love! If you are considering other scissors for yourself or your loved one, you should know that these are *real* left handed scissors, meaning that the blade is reversed. There are a lot of scissors that claim to work for lefties when all they do is make the grip leftie friendly. Get the real thing. It makes a big difference!

I purchased these scissors for a left-handed student who was having difficulty completing interactive notebook activities with the rest of our class. While it is my understanding that he will eventually have to learn to adapt to right-handed scissors, I did want to try to make accommodations and purchase these for the time being. Right away I could tell a difference in his comfort level with cutting and he was able to manage the tasks much faster and with less struggle. Most of the previous times, he would need assistance as he would usually give up before he was able to cut out of the pictures and shapes as the other scissors hurt his hand and he didn't have previous experience adapting the scissors. It had never occurred to me to keep a pair of left handed scissors in my classroom up until this point, but now I am so grateful to have a pair on hand (no pun intended). I have attached a little ribbon to this pair so that other students know this pair is special and specifically for my left-handed students. I don't forsee any issues with right-handed students using this pair, but I don't want other students to snatch them up thinking they are just another pair of regular scissors. I am very pleased with my purchase. They are just the right size for both kids and adults in my opinion.

I never knew there were lefty scissors and what a huge difference it made for children whose dominant hands were the left-hand. For 8 yeatrs, my daughter has been using right-hand scissors and there's been many times I look at her and thought she was holding the scissors awkward. Recently, she joined a sewing class and the teacher saw how much she was struggling with the scissors and recommended me buying one, so I looked for several and she liked this one because of the colors. I couldn't believe how much easier it was for her to cut items and manipulate paper and fabric by having a scissor meant for her. I immediately decided to buy another scissors for her to use at home since this purchase was for her sewing class. This is definitely a winner for all lefties and have passed on my newly acquired knowledge to a few friends with lefty children. I tried to cut with the scissor being that I'm right-handed and I had a difficult time holding the scissor as well as cutting with it. I got through it by turning the scissors the opposite way which proves it is definitely not for the majority, the right-hand users.This is definitely recommended for all lefties!

These are true left hand scissors with the correct blade orientation. I like this size its a good compact utility scissor for the junk drawer. I use a medium size adult glove and it is comfortable to use. The finger holes are a soft rubber and a bit unusual but it seems to work ok. I would prefer it to be a harder plastic. It cuts well, is light weight but I don't think it is adjustable, I tried turning the screw but it does not do anything. The one thing keeping it from a 5 star is that it does not cut all the way to the tip, it is short about a 1/8" or so, so if you want a precision cutting scissor this is not for you.

my granddaughter is lefthanded and I am doing the remote learning. it is not that easy to find scissors for her; I don't know if this has to do with the covid effect on store supplies or not. but I was happy to find these and she got to use them today for a science project and she was finally able to actually cut things out on the lines. so that made two of us very happy. they also seem to be made very well, also.

My daughter uses both her left and right hand, but hates to use these, as do I. I noticed, and perhaps it was just the pair I received, that the scissors will not close all the way. The rubber bump that is meant to prevent pinched fingers prevents almost an entire inch of the tip from closing making them rather annoying. Also, because the rubber is so flexible, and the scissors don't easily slide open and close its makes it even more difficult to cut with. Again, perhaps this was just my pair, these have the potential to be a great product, if your luck enough to get a quality pair.

A perfect gift for my daughter. She always complained she couldn’t grip her scissors right. Now she has these she has no problems. A comfy grip with a sharp neat cut. Good value for money, I would recommend to any lefties who are in need of a decent pair of left handed scissors. Even with postal strikes I still received them very swiftly.
