With a couple of mods, it is awesome!
It was as advertised, and I was able to mount it on my scope with a small modification to the pads. I ended up removing the rubber pads and replacing them with felt pads to keep the mount from sticking to my eyepiece. I also had to make a small cut in the rubber grip that holds the phone, to accommodate the power button, otherwise, it kept trying to shut it off. I give it a 5 star rating, even with the modification, because they were deficiencies in my equipment that I had to make allowances for, not the frame's fault.

Ok product.
The product holds my phone well but came to me with the phone gripper ripped. Beside that works like it should. The shutter controller work also

Love this adapter
Love this adapter, it has made astrophotography a lot more easier than hoping that you got one perfect picture holding it yourself. Although I wish the padding for the eyepieces was rubber and here’s why. It slips on glossy or more antique eyepieces, and for for the most part stays in place on the non painted eyepieces like metal, or your industrial strength plastic eyepieces. But other than that flaw it is a great piece of equipment. Even comes with wired remote and works with the iPhone lightning-adapter if you an iPhone 7 or up.

Solid mainly metal construction
At this price point I expected a cheap plastic phone holder I received a solid robust phone to scope adapter. 90+ % aluminum with plastic tension knobs and rubber pads to hold phone. Remote shutter works flawless with IPhone 6/7 Galaxy note and ZTE axon M folding phone.

Doesn't fit Nexus 6P
Doesn't fit my Nexus 6P phone. The only way to get it into a position where it can reach the camera lens is to place the phone clamp on top of the power or volume buttons which then get depressed and the phone reboots continuously.

Not impressed. Does kinda work but doesn't fit phones ...
Not impressed. Does kinda work but doesn't fit phones camera very well. Doesn't stay in adjustment once you finally get the camera aligned with scope lens.

Works with iPhone 7 Plus and Nikon Alphaphot YS Microscope
This definitely works with a standard laboratory microscope. Great alternative to more expensive products out there. It does take a bit of time to focus the lens of your phone camera with the ocular, but once you get the perfect alignment, you're good to go for the rest of the day--just don't move the set up. It is compatible with an iPhone 7 Plus (don't use a cell phone case). There are three adjustment knobs that help secure the mount in place, allowing for a very custom set up. There are rubber grips and cushions to help protect and grip your phone and microscope.

Save money and research first
Just as clumsy as the others, but much better quality, finally got what I wanted by merging it with another device with questionable quality, it will due till I get the new device from amazon that does away with the clumsy adjustment arms.

I use bought this item to hold the phone on a telescope for astrophotography, and it works very well for that application. Using the remote shutter release is essential in this case because the telescope is very sensitive to vibrations. This holder also turns out to be very useful to hold the phone during zoom meetings. In that case, I mount the holder on a tripod, and this allows me to participate in meetings hands free.

Super strong metal material. Comes with shutter button that makes things so much easier. Really great product. I'm so happy it fit my binoculars! I have super large binoculars meant for stargazing and the eyepiece has flip out cups to shield from any light entering them. Those eye cups on my binoculars almost made this product not fit properly, but I was able to manipulate it in a certain way to make it possible to use this. I'd recommend this product. Came super fast and is super cheap, and is metal so it won't break or wear down.

Some parts are metal which I was happy to see. I have since used it in the field and it works ok. It does catch the wind and shake the telescope so I suggest a heavy, sturdy tripod.

I ordered a number of these phone adapters to see which one was best. This is one of the best of the low-cost adapters I tried. It grips the eyepiece and the phone very well. All the other adapters I tried had an issue in one of those areas. The only minor issue with this adapter is that the little rubber tabs that grip the phone can end up pressing the volume buttons on the side of your phone. Obviously, this depends on the model of phone you have, but I found I needed to be very careful to position the phone so the tabs would not press on the buttons. Other than that, this is a very solid, well designed adapter. A tip, that a lot of people seem to miss, is to not get the eyepiece too close to your phone - you need to back it away a bit to see the full image circle produced by the telescope.
