I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY CAT AND DID NOT REALIZE IT CONTAINS SUNFLOWER LECITHIN UNTIL THE PACKAGE ARRIVED AND I SAW THE PRODUCT INFORMATION WHICH WAS NOT MENTIONED ON THE AMAZON WEBSITE. NOT ONLY IS MY CAT ALLERGIC TO SUNFLOWER, SEED OILS ARE INAPPROPRIATE FOR ALL CATS AND DOGS. I CALLED SOVEREIGN LABORATORIES DIRECTLY AND THEY SAID THEY REGULARLY ACCEPT RETURNS OF ITEMS FROM AMAZON BUT AFTER 3 CALLS TO AMAZON, ESCALATED TO THEIR "MANAGER", THEY REFUSE TO ACCEPT A RETURN ON AN UNOPENED BRAND NEW PACKAGE THAT THEY OUTRIGHT DID NOT INCLUDE THE PROPER INFORMATION ON, DETAILING THE INGREDIENTS. NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD PURCHASE A $127 PACKAGE CONTAINING INGREDIENTS THAT THEIR PET IS ALLERGIC TO. i WILL BE DISPUTING THIS CHARGE ON MY CREDIT CARD AND CONTACTING THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AS THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. FURTHERMORE, THEIR 365 DAY $ WARRANTY IS A BLATANT OUTRIGHT LIE. THE BBB WILL LIVE THIS.

We use this on our American Bulldog (who has horrible allergies six months of the year), our elderly GSD/Lab mix, and the new puppy we adopted. After a few weeks, all of them of them showed some kind of improvement. The bully and puppy had a big improvement in their skin and coat, and our old guy is definitely having fewer age-related tummy issues. Our bully has to be on allergy pills and frequent antibiotics during allergy season, and this wreaks havoc with his poor tummy. Not only does he have the major stinkies, but his coat ends up dull and rough. Adding in this colostrum to his food has helped tip the scales enough so that it along with all the other things we add (probiotics, omegas, organ meats) helps his skin stay in good condition (not overly greasy or overly dry and flaky) and his coat grow in soft and silky like it is outside of allergy season. It also significantly helped with his smelly toots and bouts of diarrhea brought on by the antibiotics. As for our newest family. member, adding this to her daily food helped her gain the weight and muscle she was lacking her first four or five months of life (someone tossed her into a dumpster at a gas station and one of my husband's coworkers thankfully found her). She's a tiny dog unlike her big-brother-from-another-mother, but even for a min-pin/chihuahua mix, she was way under weight and distrustful of the dry or wet food we would give her (which makes us and her vet wonder what those rotten people did to her before they threw her out like trash). It wasn't until we mixed in a scoop of this colostrum powder and some warm water to her food that she finally showed some enthusiasm for eating. It's been a couple of months since we adopted her, and she's no longer skin and bones with zero energy and a dull, lifeless coat. Now she zips around with the big dogs like she's one of them and has energy to spare. The vet is happy that her bones are properly growing and she's no longer seriously underweight. As for our eldest, at 12 years old he's been slowing down and a lot pickier about what he eats. He currently prefers food that is fish-based, probably because he can catch the scent easier. He also loves the taste of this when it's mixed with his food, as a separate drink, or frozen as a lick-albe treat. This powder has a strong vanilla scent, and the small amount I tried reminded me of vanilla soy milk. This bit of sweetness might be why he enjoys this so much. It's helping him keep his appetite and energy up, so it's a daily addition to his food. Though we won't be giving this to our puppy much longer, our bully will be on it for some time. The price per ounce at $70.51 is $5.88 (using Subscribe & Save). This isn't the first brand of colostrum we've tried with our dogs, but it seems to be one of the better/more effective. The dogs don't mind this powder mixed in with their food, which is great. It's been a really good way to create some interest for our older dog when he might not have much of an appetite. It's likely just as good for dogs coming off an illness or injury. Even our cats enjoy having a little bit when I mix it with warm water, and our eldest cat (15 years old) always eats more when a little bit of this powdered colostrum is mixed in with his food. This particular brand may not be the cheapest per ounce available, but it has helped the greatest amount for most of our pets. As long as it continues to be effective, we will stick with this.

My cats love the taste of this stuff! I wish it came in better packaging however. My cat Luna got this out of the cupboard and proceeded to tear into it. We moved it to the highest cupboard and put it behind olive oil. She STILL got it again! So the packaging is easy to tear big holes in it and the powder where she tore a hole turned dark brown within a day making me leary to use it. But after a Panleukopenia outbreak over the spring then aquired two rescue kittens who had only one vaccine. They've been kept in isolation from the rest of the house. One week after they arrived they had their 2nd vaccine and 4 and half weeks later the 3rd booster which was a week ago. The virus is VERY hardy, very contagious and very deadly. Even fully vaccinated kittens have been getting it and dying because the virus is mutating and kills 90% of kittens 5 months and younger. So they've been getting this everyday since the first day they got here. My friends kittens who don't even live here got it and died because she forgot to take off her shoes after being here. It is THAT contagious. It lives outside a cats body for a YEAR. It lives through high heat and freezing temperatures. Antibacterials and antiviral cleaners such as Lysol does not even kill it. But these kittens are still going strong and I really believe this has helped them through it. The only thing is that this is a dairy product. One of the kittens has consistently had water diarrhea. I stopped giving this to him 3 days ago just to see and his poo is now starting to have form.
