A Yoga Bag, and So Much More
Why did I pick this bag out of all the other colorful and embellished options available? The answer is, precisely because it is not. I am not one for big labels or making flashy statements. I much prefer gear that is understated, designed to be rugged and useful. Small styling cues are fine, but large logos and statement prints are not at all my thing. I want a bag, one that can hold my gear and be portable with a minimum of fuss. I'm also relatively new at this game, so I am not supremely flexible, I need some help here and there. A couple of blocks, a strap, a mat, a couple of towels, a small blanket I can roll up, etc. are all part of what I often use, though sometimes I do yoga with nothing but a carpeted floor. I want a bag that will travel well, carry what I need, have room for a change of clothes, and not stick out like a sore thumb as a way of saying to the world "look at me, I do yoga, aren't I cool?!” Thankfully, the YogaAddict bag puts function over form, and the results are quite impressive. Rugged construction, not too heavy but not at all flimsy, looks and feels solid. My goal is for this to not just be a yoga mat bag, but my all around travel gym I can take with me anywhere. A tall order, but as it turns out, totally doable: workout clothes, towels, yoga block, 8 ft. strap, yoga mat (24" x 72”), Bullworker Steel Bow (because dumbbells are too heavy to pack) and a Bullworker Iso-Gym (because a bench and chinning bar are too big to pack). That's a lot to put into one bag... probably too much, you might say. In fact, there's room to spare, enough for a water bottle as well. One completely self contained and portable gym, ready to go. Fully equipped for yoga, strength training, stretching, bodyweight training, etc. Everything I need in one bag, easy to carry, easy to pack, and the confidence the bag will remain rock solid and durable. The bag itself again is semi-rigid, which makes for a nice durable feel as you walk with it. the load of everything I put in it felt balanced and natural, and the zippers function cleanly, no snags and no binding. The side piping and accents look nice, and add some good reinforcement to the bag, plus help with the overall sturdy feel. The loop handles at both ends are helpful loading onto and off of buses and trains. Fitting it into luggage bins was easy, and removal by the handles was also easy. Design recommendation. Since this would be an awesome travel bag for a take-along gym, I'd suggest using zipper handles with broader holes to more easily pass a small padlock through them for additional security, This would be a good addition to the outer zipper as well as the two pockets. Also, though it's an inner, hidden pocket, it would also be a good design idea to make the inner pocket a double close zipper, so that the same principle could be applied (may be overkill, but it would be a nice touch :) ). The capacity of the bag is wonderful. I was able to put everything I needed for my morning workout, including my suspension straps (which anchor to a door frame) and my steel bow (which is an isometric spring compression device) and could do a full body vigorous workout with everything easily at hand, easily removable, and easily repack-able. The bag can carry a lot but doesn't at all feel like an oversized duffle. It is, however, completely lined and, therefore, completely closed. With packing of gym clothes that could get nice and sweaty, as well as towels, etc. (think Bikram practitioners ;) ), I could see this bag developing a bit too much personality is a fairly short time. Spraying with Febreze would of course help, but perhaps just as helpful would be a "breathing panel", perhaps along the back side. Think a material that is semi-mesh, but durable enough to handle the scuffs and scrapes of loading and unloading. The air can pass through, aid drying, and prevent odor buildup, yet still keep the overall integrity of the bag intact. My suggestions are meant to be exactly that, suggestions for possible improvements, but overall, this bag is aces in the areas that matter the most for me, which is capacity, convenience, durability, portability, and yes, understated elegance. Black and Gray certainly won't appeal to everyone, but it appeals to me. On the whole, an excellent product.

Meets my needs for hot yoga class
I have used the YogaAddict mat bag Supreme for hot yoga class three times. I have had a hard time finding a bag with enough room and sturdy enough for a hot yoga class after which I have a super wet and heavy mat towel, large thick mat and personal items. Pros: Main compartment easily large enough to accomodate my 72" and extra thick mat towel. After class I usually just roll everything up together and its super heavy and soaking wet. Fits without hassle and doesn't drip all over me and/or my car. I haven't noticed it leaking and I just leave it open to air dry. There is still room for my used face towel too. The water bottle holder on the side fits my 1L size Hydroflask. The two outside pockets are big enough to hold my keys, sunglasses, wallet in one and personal items in the other. I carry a package of face wipes, small spray bottle, moisturizer and lip balm. Might be big enough for some shower items if travel size. The bag is well made and rugged and the straps seem like they will hold up to the added weight of a full water bottle before class and a sopping wet heavy mat towel after class. Cons: The zipper is a bit stiff, however, its a heavy duty zipper and thats not a major concern. The shoulder strap needs more padding. As I've said, my bag is heavy both before and after class. The bag does not fold up when empty because of its heavyweight construction and material and must be stored at its full length. Again, for me this isn't a much of a con but might be for someone else. I added a luggage tag for ID and personality. More colors would be nice. Overall for my needs it is the best product I've used and I'm very happy with my purchase. It seems like it will last for quite a while of heavy use.

PERFECT yoga bag!
This bag is, hands down, the BEST little tote for anyone who practices yoga. The zippers work easily, so there is no tugging trying to get the bag open. The largest pocket opens like a "doctor's bag" so that its wide enough on top to comfortably fit your yoga mat without struggling to get the mat inside the bag...with extra room to spare! I'm not only able to fit my yoga mat, but my yoga towel as well...and there is STILL room! I watch everyone around me after class trying to cram their mats into awkward bags and mine slips right in, no fuss, and zips up just as easily. The two pockets on the front are amazing. I can carry my phone, wallet and car keys in one and I use the other for my hand towel. The water bottle holder in the middle is perfect and even has a draw string to accommodate smaller bottles. The carrying straps are so sturdy and I know this bag will last a lifetime. I have pink...its the brightest color without being neon. LOVE this bag.

Good Bag, but Block Holders are too tight for 4 inch blocks.
I have another version of the Yoga Addict mat bag that I have been using for over a year and it has held up wonderfully and I like the bag a lot. I bought a Manduka Pro mat and wanted a larger bag for it, so I bought this one. Overall, it is a very nice bag, with sturdy canvas like material. The drink holder is very handy and the interior pocket is roomy. There is room on the interior of the bag for a towel, mat, knee pad, strap and probably a few other small items. I loved the idea of the block pockets and they do work, but I have 4 inch blocks and its a tight fit getting them in and out of the pockets...I wish they were a little larger. I'm a little disappointed as I bought this bag over the other larger Yoga Addict bag because of the block holders and they don't work as well as I'd hoped.

All in all... a great buy!
Ok, this is going to be as thorough a review as I can make it. I found this bag after having two other yoga bags blow out seams on me. 1. Color: I chose the purple bag (pink isn't really my color lol) and even the purple is REALLY purple, its a good thing I'm a secure fella :). 2. Size: My Manduka mat fits end to end in this bag, there is no additional space above it for storage which isn't a big deal because the bag is wide enough to hold at least two mats side by side with room to spare! 3. Construction: very well made, I'm on my mat at least 5 days a week, and this bag gets its work out! It's holding up very very well to my use! 4. Storage: The two external pouches are great for small items, toiletries etc. You could probably fit a small block in one, but not much else. The water bottle carrier is nice, it holds my 32 oz Nalgene bottle snugly. 5. Handles/Strap: There is an included strap which attaches diagonally across the bag. Pretty standard strap, nothing to brag about, it serves it's purpose. The handles however are a bit odd to me. They are the same length as the body strap? I've taken the body/shoulder strap off completely and don't use it at all. 6. The included 'baggy' was enticing at first, but upon arrival, I was bummed to find out that it wasn't a 'dry bag' type, but just a nylon baggie that could hold a towel at best. 7. I wish the bag was 'water proof' or rubber lined on the interior as I have to carry a plastic bag to put my wet Hot Yoga clothes into after class.

Design
WOW! When I first opened the box containing my YogaAddict Yoga Mat Bag the 1st thing I noticed was the beautiful shade of BLUE! Upon unfolding the bag I discovered the block pockets and water bottle holder. Unzipped the bag to FULL length and saw how much space I have inside. Inside zippered pocket for valuables and enough room to hold my mat, full length mat towel, face towel and a bottle of spray (for my towel)! Once I loaded all my gear into the bag I discovered I still have room for a few more small items! I am very very happy I ordered this mat bag. The fabric feels durable but not stiff and the zippers feel like they will last. The zippers are smooth and glide easily. It hold EVERYTHING you would ever need for Yoga or the gym and it isn’t HUGE and bulky like some that I looked at. Oh, I forgot to tell you it comes with a shoulder strap! The two handles that Velcro together are long enough to carry this YogaAddict Mat Bag as a shoulder bag and it fits the body’s contours nicely! Thank you YogaAddict for this GREAT design, color and durability!

Long but not deep
I really like this bag. I have used it 5-6 days a week for a couple months now. The zipper works great and feels sturdy, and it holds what I need it to, but I can see some people being frustrated with the lack of depth. I love that it opens at the top and it is easy to put my things in and get them out quickly. It doesn't hold its shape when you remove the items and does slump over, but that's not an issue for me. This will fit an extra wide yoga mat easily, but it is not deep, meaning it won't hold a ton of items depth-wise. If I roll my yoga mat around my foam roller I can get it to fit, but then the water bottle holder is squished too tight to hold my bottle. So I don't put the foam roller in it. What I do have in the main compartment: - regular width yoga mat rolled up and tied to conserve space. - a stretching band - a rolling stick - a folded yoga towel stuffed in the end. In one pocket I keep a bunch of little odds and ends, and the other I toss my purse into so I can have everything I need with me. My block definitely wouldn't fit, in any pocket unless I didn't have a mat.
